I’m Joe, a founder from Mangalore, a small coastal town in India. I’ve built and launched a few AI products, including Outshow.io and Fedna.ai.
These days, I spend a slightly unhealthy amount of time with Claude Code. And Cyan started because I got tired of having to sit in front of it. I’d start a long Claude Code task, get up to make a coffee, and come back 20 minutes later. Sometimes it had finished 18 minutes ago. Sometimes it was waiting for permission. Sometimes it needed me to answer something before it could continue.
Either way, I was still the bottleneck.
So I built Cyan. Cyan lives in your Mac’s notch and keeps you connected to your Claude sessions without having to stare at the terminal. Claude can talk to you during a session, ask you something when it needs you, and tell you when a task is finished. You can talk straight back:
Cyan sends it to the right session and Claude keeps going. So you can make coffee, walk around, or work on something else without constantly checking your terminal.
But I didn’t want Cyan to be just a voice interface for Claude Code. It also has its own agentic workspace, where you can interact with Claude, build personal capabilities, and use it as an always-on AI agent living in your Mac’s notch. And I wanted it to feel like a proper Mac app. Cyan is Apple-native, notarised, and built on Swift without Electron. It’s a small, lightweight app that feels at home on your Mac.
