I built Convertix because file conversion is one of those simple tasks that somehow often ends up being a frustrating experience. A lot of online converters feel cluttered, dated, covered in ads, or make you jump through unnecessary steps just to convert and download a file. I wanted Convertix to be the opposite: clean, quick, and straightforward. What started as a fairly simple idea has also become a really fun project for me technically. I've been building out the cloud infrastructure behind Convertix so it can scale conversion workers based on demand, while keeping the actual experience as simple as upload, convert, download. This is still the beginning. I'm starting with a focused set of conversions and plan to expand into many more document, image, audio, and video formats as the platform develops.
