About a year ago, I left my job to work on a question that kept coming back to me: Why does learning still feel so fragmented, even with all these tools? I’d have moments where I’d discover something genuinely valuable, a clear explanation, an insight from AI, a connection between ideas. But a few days later, it was gone. Buried in chat history. Lost across tabs. Disconnected from everything else I knew. It wasn’t a lack of information. It was a lack of structure. That’s what led to Conception. I wanted a workspace where: • Answers don’t disappear, they accumulate • AI is grounded, with citations you can trust • Writing, thinking, and searching happen in the same place • Ideas can connect and evolve over time The process was iterative. Early versions were just AI chat. Then came pages. Then organization. Then the graph. Each step was driven by a simple constraint: protect the thinking process. Remove friction, not add features. It took me many months of focused building to get here. Conception isn’t trying to be another tool. It’s an attempt to build a layer for how we learn - something that helps turn information into knowledge. The product is live and free to start.
