I used to teach English as a second language to kids and teenagers. And I can tell you, it was awesome. It's incredibly rewarding to impact students' lives and watch them grow. It was also VERY challenging. The stress and long hours were draining. I spent a lot of weekends grading overdue papers. This is why we built CoGrader. It helps teachers grade assignments quickly without sacrificing quality. CoGrader streamlines the process, making it easier to provide meaningful feedback to every student. This is year 25 in the English classroom for me, and I was one of those teachers who constantly took grading home in the evenings and on weekends so that I could give my students feedback on their writing. I discovered CoGrader last year when it launched, and I wish I had it years ago! It has streamlined the grading process, which has given me hours of my life back! More importantly, it has made a HUGE difference in the amount, quality, and consistency of the feedback I am able to provide my students. Everything (literally!) is customizable, and the platform is user-friendly. The CoGrader team is highly responsive and does a wonderful job of offering training to support teachers using the product. I am the only one currently using it in my department, but I plan to complete the certifications so that I can present it to my department and (hopefully!) administration. CoGrader helps me give much more constructive feedback to students than I would ever have time for. I'm trying to convince my district to ok it, but for now am using as just a copy/paste instead of linking to student accounts. It's still absolutely amazing. I believe it will definitely help my students to improve their writing and show what they have learned more successfully.

I am a high school English teacher, and CoGrader frees me to assign more writing and give my students fast, specific, and meaningful feedback. It also helps me be more objective when grading writing assignments. I've wished in the past that I could have a colleague read and grade along with me so that I could make sure I'm being fair, but that's just not realistic. CoGrader has become that colleague! Additionally, I have been very impressed with the customer service I have received from CoGrader and the fact that they are continually improving their product. I highly recommend CoGrader to any teacher who teaches a class that requires students to write.
