An AI agent that helps you migrate your existing Protractor or Selenium tests to Playwright, and lets you write new tests using plain English. Local-first, secure, and free from long-term lock-ins just install, pay as you go, convert tests, and move on.

Just explored the Codien site — seriously impressive UX and messaging!
The way you’ve integrated AI to simplify test automation is exactly what the industry needs right now. Test migration from Protractor/Selenium has always been painful—Codien looks like the tool that finally gets it right. Already shared it with my QA team!
@sonanshu congratulations!
@sonanshu @jeevan_kakarwal Thanks a lot. That is very encouraging. Looking forward to your feedback as your team uses it.
Codien looks like a powerful leap forward in automation tooling.
I love how you can describe test cases in plain English and Codien handles the rest. The AI-powered test authoring is not just hype—it actually seems thoughtfully implemented. Can’t wait to try this on a few legacy projects we’ve been putting off.
@sonanshu Great product 😃
@sonanshu @divyanshu_kaushik1 Thats our hope :). All those legacy projects stuck because of lack of bandwidth can be accelerated now. Looking forward for your feedback as you start using it in your projects.
The local-first approach is such a refreshing take — no cloud lock-ins, no privacy worries. Well done!
@sonanshu it's great to see such innovative products.
@tanmay_kale Thanks Tanmay, to add to it Codien runs locally on your machine and processes your files on-device as much as possible. However, to accurately understand and modernize legacy test logic, we use AI models provided by OpenAI deployed in our Azure tenant. When needed, small, relevant portions of your test code (never full projects) are securely sent to OpenAI's API for processing. This is done solely to analyze logic patterns and generate modernized equivalents — we never store, sell, or use your code for training. We are also actively working on integrating fully local models for users who prefer to keep all processing offline.
Codien.ai’s AI agent is amazing it seamlessly migrates your old Protractor or Selenium tests to Playwright and lets you write new tests in plain English. Love the local-first approach, strong security, and no long-term lock-ins. Just install, pay as you go, convert, and you’re all set!
@lingamgunta_hemanth - Thanks a lot for your support.
From plain English to Playwright code? That’s not just smart — that’s a game-changer for agile teams writing tests on the fly.
@trinkush_singla2 - Absolutely, that's the goal, making life easier for the hard working agile teams.
Playwright is amazing but onboarding and migration is not. Codien changes that. This is what modern QA tools should look like.
@sonanshu congrats!
@sonanshu @chaitanya_nalawade - Thanks, Chaitanya. You nailed the problem statement, that's what we aim to address with Codien.
Excited for this, can't wait to use it...
@maddy_sahu - Thanks Maddy.
