An AI agent that helps you migrate your existing Protractor or Selenium tests to Playwright, and lets you write new tests using plain English. Local-first, secure, and free from long-term lock-ins just install, pay as you go, convert tests, and move on.

@sonanshu @bichpuriaarogya thanks, means a lot to us!
I'm super proud to be part of the team that brought Codien to life!
We built Codien to solve a very real problem — long, painful migrations from Protractor or Selenium to Playwright. With Codien, our goal was to give teams a tool that not only converts tests accurately but does it safely with live validation and quickly with intelligent automation.
One of my personal favorite features is the natural language-to-code generation — writing tests from plain English is such a game-changer
Huge shoutout to the entire team at Cognida.ai for making this possible. Can’t wait to see how the community uses it. If anyone has questions or wants a walkthrough, happy to help!
@abid_mohammed @amit_kade1 @prathitha1 @sonanshu
@amit_kade1 @prathitha1 @sonanshu @sg733 thanks for such encouraging comment Sarthak. it means a lot to us get such a support from the community!!
The fact that Codien works fully offline while doing smart migration is an absolute win for security-conscious teams. Hats off, team Cognida!
@sonanshu the vision is crystal clear!
@sumit_aman Hi Sumit, Codien is based on local first approach. Codien runs locally on your machine and processes your files on-device as much as possible. However, to accurately understand and modernize legacy test logic, we use AI models provided by OpenAI deployed in our Azure tenant. When needed, small, relevant portions of your test code (never full projects) are securely sent to OpenAI's API for processing. This is done solely to analyze logic patterns and generate modernized equivalents — we never store, sell, or use your code for training. We are also actively working on integrating fully local models for users who prefer to keep all processing offline.
Great product. Intuitive and user friendly! Excited for the release.
@shashi_bhushan9 thanks for the positive comment. We are very excited and hope that users make it an important tool in their test automation workflow.
