Hey Product Hunt 👋 Ever searched Amazon for earbuds or bed sheets and scrolled past VGEBY, KMOUK, and ZQXWK — the same product relisted six times under names no human would ever choose? I got fed up enough to build a filter for it. ClearCart scores every listing on an Amazon search page, right in your browser, against the fingerprints of dropship junk: 🔤 Gibberish brand names — caught by a small language model that runs locally 👯 Clone farms — the same item under many "brands" with near-identical titles ⭐ Shared review pools — while testing, I found three "different brands" of sheets all showing exactly 444.7K reviews. That's one review pool wearing three costumes, and ClearCart flags it 📝 Keyword-landfill titles ("2026 Upgraded... for Men Women Kids...") Junk collapses into a quiet "click to reveal" placeholder — nothing is deleted, you stay in control, and a 3,000-brand allowlist keeps legitimate products safe. The part I'm most stubborn about: it's 100% local. No server, no account, no analytics, zero data collected. There is no way for me to know what you search for — the privacy policy is two minutes long because there's nothing to disclose. (If you're an ex-Fakespot user: this is a different approach — filtering junk before you see it rather than grading reviews after you click.) The free tier is the entire filter, forever — not a trial. Pro ($20 once, no subscription) adds strictness tuning, personal allow/blocklists, best-value-per-unit badges, local price history, and trust flags for inflated "90% off list price" theater. Works on amazon.com, .ca, .co.uk, .com.au, and .in. I'd genuinely love feedback — especially if it ever hides something it shouldn't. Small roadmap update for everyone

ClearCart is expanding beyond Amazon — Walmart.com support is coming in the next few days. Same idea, same rules: the gibberish-brand dropship wave has hit Walmart's marketplace just as hard, and the filter works the same way there — everything scored locally in your browser, junk collapsed behind click-to-reveal placeholders, zero data collected.

Hey everyone quick update since our launch!

We've shipped a lot based on what early users (many of you) told us. The theme was "make it obviously working, everywhere":

Sharper filtering out of the box the default strictness now catches the borderline junk that used to survive page 1. If your last impression was "it barely filtered my search," try it again.

Now on Firefox and Microsoft Edge same extension, same zero-data promise, all three stores. The install button on our site now detects your browser (Brave/Opera/Vivaldi/Arc work too, via the Chrome listing).

ClearCart is now on Firefox 🦊

Quick update for anyone who followed the launch: ClearCart the extension that hides junk dropship listings and gibberish no-name brands from Amazon and Walmart search results is now available for Firefox, not just Chrome.

Why it took a minute: Firefox doesn't do MV3 service workers, so the background script had to be reworked as an event page, and the whole thing needed a permanent add-on ID and a clean build pipeline (my first upload got rejected because a Windows-built zip used backslashes in the entry names fun one).

What hasn't changed: it's still 100% local. No servers, no telemetry, no accounts, no scoring API. Every listing is scored on your own machine, which is why the Firefox install screen says "no data collected" that's a declaration I actually had to make, and it's accurate.

Hey Product Hunt quick pricing update, and the reasoning behind it, because I think the reasoning is the interesting part.

Clear Cart's free tier is deliberately the entire junk filter. Pro ($13/year) is the tuning layer strictness presets, personal allow/blocklists, hide-sponsored, trust flags on product pages, local price history, best-value badges. Which means the honest question isn't "do you want the good version?" it's "are you a tuner?" And nobody knows that until they've tried the knobs.
