Curious how the Job Fit Scoring feature performs for career switchers or roles outside standard job titles (e.g. hybrid positions, freelance/contract work, or emerging job categories). Does the AI adapt well to less "template-like" resumes, or is it tuned mainly for conventional corporate roles? Would love to hear from the CareerLift team or anyone who's tried it on a non-standard job search.
Hey Product Hunt! π I'm Manasa, the maker of CareerLift.
I built CareerLift after watching friends spend months searching for jobsβtailoring resumes for every application, practicing interviews with random YouTube videos, writing cover letters from scratch, and still getting ghosted.
The problem wasn't a lack of effort. It was that the process was completely fragmented. They were juggling five different tools that didn't work together.
So I decided to build one AI career copilot that brings everything into a single workflow.
CareerLift helps you:
β Practice AI mock interviews with real-time voice feedback
β Optimize your resume for ATS with 14 professional templates
β Generate tailored cover letters in seconds
β Check your job match score before applying
β Analyze job postings instantly with our Chrome extension while you browse
It's free to tryβno credit card required.
I'd genuinely love your feedback. Which feature do you find most useful, and what would make CareerLift an essential part of your job search?
Thanks so much for checking it out and supporting an indie maker! π
The voice analysis part caught my eye β how does that actually work, do I need a specific mic setup or does it just use my laptop audio? Also wondering if the ATS tailoring handles niche fields like design portfolios or is it more geared toward traditional tech resumes.
@esmanurlnsnΒ Great questions! No special mic needed β it just uses your laptop/phone's built-in audio, so you can practice anywhere. On the ATS side, it's not limited to tech resumes β it adapts to the language and keywords of whatever field you're targeting, design portfolios included, though for very visual-heavy portfolios we'd still recommend pairing it with a dedicated portfolio site. Curious what field you're job hunting in?
Happy to support you! How much time you spent to code it?
@datyshoΒ Thanks so much for the support, Michael! π It's been a wild ride β about 3 months building the web app from scratch, plus a few more weeks each for the iOS app and Chrome extension. Every late night was worth it to bring CareerLift to life. Would love to hear what feature excites you most!
