Hi Product Hunt. I'm the solo developer behind Capybara Court, working from Korea. Small arguments are awkward to raise and pile up when you let them go, so I wanted a place where both people say their piece and a gentle third party sorts it out. Capybara Court is a courthouse for arguments too small for anywhere else: the dishes, the fan left on all night, "I'll do it later" for the third time. The judge is a capybara named Cappy. It has two rooms. The private court. You and the other person each answer the same four questions: what happened, what bothered you most, what they should do about it, and what your own piece of it is. Each side is sealed the moment it is written. The seal is a database rule, not a promise: each phone is refused permission to read the other's words, and only the judge on the server reads both. In the same room? Just hand them the phone. The ruling opens on both phones at once. Cappy names what the quarrel was really about in one line, then gives the two of you one small, silly thing to do together tonight. The fault is split, and the server keeps it between 25 and 75, so never 100 to 0. When it reads as a real grievance rather than a petty one, he writes a settlement instead, with no winner and one small step. The gallery. Nobody to summon? Leave your side there on your own, and Cappy gives you his opinion of it. Before you seal it, the phone shows what it would cover and you can change it. After the seal, the court covers names and places again, properly, before anything is published. It is careful rather than perfect, so leave out what you would hate to see up there. You choose how far a story travels: nobody but Cappy, only people you send the link to, the verdict alone on the wall with your own words kept back, or the whole story on the wall for strangers to read and answer. A story can be made quieter later, never louder. Anyone can flag a story or an answer, anything flagged enough times goes to a real person to read, and you can hide a voice you would rather not hear from. What it is not. Cappy is a cartoon capybara, not a lawyer, a doctor or a counsellor, and the app never lets him sound like one. When the court reads signs of harm to yourself or someone else, abuse, or something urgent, it gives no verdict, publishes nothing, and points to real help instead. Everything you write shreds itself 30 days after filing. No accounts, no ads, no analytics trackers. It speaks Korean and English and is free while in beta.
