Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built CAD Viewer because sharing DWG files shouldn't require a $2,000 AutoCAD license. I use Google Drive for everything and there is no native preview for dwg/dxf files. There are one or two apps providing this service but they look like they came out straight out of the 90s or are filled with ads. My goal was to build the "Google Docs for DWG files”, a clean, fast way to view, measure, and collaborate on technical drawings directly in Google Drive. No downloads, no software installs. Just click and view. What you can do: - View DWG & DXF files instantly in Drive and Gmail - Measure distances and dimensions right in the browser - Comment and annotate like you would in Google Docs - Share with anyone via link, they don't need CAD software - Generate photorealistic renders with AI A bit of behind-the-scenes: Building this was a nightmare (in a fun way). DWG is a proprietary format, so I use LibreDWG to convert files to DXF, then built my own DXF parser and renderer from scratch. Hundreds of entity types, edge cases everywhere, and fonts that don't exist anymore. The renderings aren't perfect yet, some complex drawings still have quirks, but I'm improving it every week. Already used by 400+ engineers, architects, and designers. I'm a solo dev and this is my second product after 3D Viewer (for STL/OBJ files). If you spot any rendering issues, let me know! If you want to support the project I also have a 12$/month plan or 99$/month plan.   Posting this more for feedback than anything else so really looking for comments (even harsh!) from engineers/architects!
