A few weeks ago I had a random thought:
How many real-world things could I actually buy with my crypto right now?
Not in USD.
But in actual items: burgers, coffee, iPhones, cars, gold
I searched for a simple website that visualized crypto purchasing power this way, but couldn t find anything I really liked.
I tested it, and I like the concept. You can turn this into a personal story, like: Your wallet today is 2,400 coffees, 17 iPhones, or 0.3 Lamborghini, it's pretty fun!
It makes the experience way more emotional and shareable.
@ascnnocode Yeah, I’ve actually been thinking about that
Turning portfolios into something like:
“your wallet = X coffees / Y iPhones”
@ascnnocode Would be really cool if users could paste a wallet address (or select famous wallets like Satoshi or Vitalik) and instantly see their purchasing power in real-world items!
I didn’t realize how abstract crypto prices felt until seeing them in real-world items. 1 BTC = 85,8k toilet paper rolls somehow feels more real than $77k 😄
@alexandr_strukov That was exactly the idea behind BTC Burger, Crypto prices in USD feel abstract, but real-world items instantly create an emotional understanding of value! ;)
Honestly this feels way easier to understand than normal crypto portfolio apps. Seeing your crypto as burgers, socks somehow feels more real than just looking at charts 🚀
@nika_polosss Haha yeah, somehow burgers and socks feel more understandable than candles and charts 😄
