Cool idea, but if its running locally on my system, how will it match me with someone else? Won't it require accessing their browser history?

This is the first time I've seen something like this in my life. It seems like a pretty innovative idea to me, because you can meet someone partly based on common interests. Wish you Good luck with the launch :)
Definitely one of the most out-of-the-box dating ideas I've seen on PH in a while.
Does it only look at types of sites visited, or delve into specific content?
This is a truly unique dating concept! Matching via browser history with AI is wild.
How do you tackle privacy and user comfort with such personal data? Very curious! Congrats on the launch!
Hello from Paris, France :)
As a user, what I've noticed so far :
- I had trouble receiving the link to validate my email several times.
- Maybe I'm wrong, but there doesn't seem to be any way of managing your email in your account, or of deleting it if necessary.
- No contact form?
- Does the extension (Firefox) go back in time completely? I mean all the history? Or only more recent parts?
- “No matches yet” Apart from the fact that my history may be particularly bizarre :) I assume that your user base is still in its infancy... if not its birth.
In any case, this idea of trying to draw up a sort of “psychological” profile from one's web browsing is amusing.

Thanks for the questions and the feedback! Hello from Ghent, Belgium :)

Yes, I'm aware of this problem. It should be fixed now.
- Does the extension (Firefox) go back in time completely? I mean all the history? Or only more recent parts?
So the extension exports up to 5,000 of your most recent browser history items, going back as far as your browser has stored history data.
It's not limited by time but by the number of entries (5,000 max).
- No contact form?
No contact form at this moment but an e-mail address at the bottom of the page where I will answer asap :)
- “No matches yet” Apart from the fact that my history may be particularly bizarre :) I assume that your user base is still in its infancy... if not its birth.
Your changes are now higher because in 1 week we have 700 active users. I hope you have a match soon!
Thanks for the feedback and enjoy Browser.dating!
@driesdepoorter Thx for the reply ! All the best.
This is a really innovative and unique idea. Do you think many people would be open to allowing this product to access their browsing history?
Hey Dries, I have a further update, you could also launch browser dating 2.0, matching users based on their LLMs history and perplexity search prompts. In future, I definitely want to see or hear about AI models going on dates. A black mirror episode and concept for the next season :) And, I would certainly want to play the lead role.
