BrassWell tracks income, expenses and miles for freelancers and the self-employed, and works out what to set aside for tax on every payment, federal and state, on the 2026 brackets. Quarterly estimates with a reminder before each due date, receipt scanning, and invoices with your own pay link. iPhone, iPad, Android and web. 14 days free, no card.

Hi Product Hunt — I'm George. When I started working for myself I tried four or five systems for my own money; each worked for a while and each had a problem I couldn't get past. The budgeting idea I liked best (Ramit Sethi's Conscious Spending Plan) assumes a paycheck with the tax already taken out. Self-employed, nobody takes it out. So BrassWell makes tax the first bucket and works per payment, not per month: every time money comes in, it tells you how much of it is actually yours. Free calculators (no sign-up) are at brasswell.app/calculators if you want to see the math. I'd love feedback, especially from anyone whose income swings month to month.
