BrandScreen tells founders whether a name is actually ownable before they spend on it. One search checks live USPTO trademarks, domain availability across five TLDs, registered business entities, social handles, and search competition — scored 0–100 with an AI review of what the conflicts mean. From there you can generate alternatives, claim a verified brand page, and turn on weekly monitoring that alerts you when a new filing, registration, or expiration affects your name.

Hey everyone — I'm Erik, the founder of BrandScreen.
In the last 5 companies I've started, the same thing tripped me up for days even weeks: naming it. I'd finally land on a name I loved, then lose an afternoon bouncing between the USPTO, domain registrars, state business registries, social handles, and Google — each in its own place, each with its own quirks, and still no clear picture at the end.
So I tried just asking ChatGPT or Claude "is this taken?" Their answers were complete guesses. Then onto GoDaddy, where I would search for the perfect domain, only to have a trademark already on it. The few dedicated tools out there each only checked one piece of it.
So I built BrandScreen: one search that hits the real, live sources and hands you a single report instead of ten tabs and hours of work.
Would love your feedback — what do you check (or wish you could) when you're naming something new?
