Really like the AI search angle, that's usually the biggest time sink for me during diligence. One thing that would help even more is a built-in redaction tool so I can black out sensitive info like customer names or revenue numbers before sharing the room, rather than exporting to a separate tool first. Would make the workflow way smoother.

Native redaction is already on our short-list. The first version will be built directly into our secure Document Previewer, so users can redact sensitive information without exporting files to a separate tool.
For the second iteration, we’re planning AI-assisted redaction, where Boundeal can suggest potentially sensitive items — such as customer names, revenue figures, employee details, or other confidential data — and the user stays fully in control by reviewing and confirming what should actually be redacted.
Agree with you: redaction should feel like a natural part of preparing a data room, not a separate offline step. Really appreciate the feedback.
I’ve been using Boundeal VDR for projects where different teams and external participants need access to sensitive documents, and the project isolation is one of the things I appreciate most.
Being able to keep each project separate, while using Permission Groups to control exactly who can access which files, makes the workflow much cleaner. It is especially useful when investors, advisors, legal teams, and internal users are involved at the same time but should not see the same information.
@irina_tsvinkailo Thanks for sharing this — really appreciate it. Project isolation and Permission Groups were core design decisions for us because real deal workflows often involve many parties who should not all see the same information. Glad to hear it makes the process cleaner in practice.
Love that the AI search is in there, would be huge if you could layer on a clause-level Q&A or red flag detector that pulls risky language from contracts and surfaces it in a dashboard, would save so much manual scanning during diligence.

On Q&A, I’m curious about your view: do you feel the traditional VDR Q&A workflow is actually good enough, or does it feel too heavy? Our current thinking is to reframe classic Q&A into more of an in-deal chat between authorized participants, so questions, clarifications, and follow-ups feel more natural instead of going through an overly rigid question → approval → response workflow.
On red flags / risky language, we’re thinking in a similar direction. One idea is to let teams configure an AI agent or deal-specific instructions inside the data room. For example, if a buyer, advisor, or legal team knows what they are looking for, they could instruct the AI to surface specific risks across documents — unusual termination clauses, revenue concentration language, change-of-control provisions, customer consent requirements, missing assignment language, or other deal-specific issues.
The key for us is that AI should support review, not replace judgment. So we’d want it to surface the relevant language with references back to the exact source documents, then let the user decide what matters.
Would a more conversational in-deal chat plus configurable AI risk-detection workflow be more useful to you than a traditional VDR Q&A module?

Honestly the AI search is way more useful than I expected, pulled up the right clause from a messy data room in seconds. Setup was also pretty painless compared to the legacy VDR I've used before.
