As a hobbyist music maker, I often create a backing track and then set out to write the lyrics and melody on top of it. The process is often frustrating, especially when I’m working on a different device than the one where my DAW lives.
I want to loop sections while writing, adjust lines to match timing, etc. Also, for lyrics, it makes sense to work on a vertical timeline — unlike the horizontal one in your DAW.
The vision for what I wanted became clearer over the years, until I finally decided to pull the trigger and build the tool myself…
