Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Irene, the maker behind Bookmash.
I rely heavily on browser bookmarks, both for work and my personal life.
Over the years, I accumulated hundreds of them.
At some point, I realized something: saving bookmarks wasn't my problem anymore.
Finding and working with them was.
Browsers are great at storing bookmarks. But once your collection grows, navigating endless nested folders becomes frustrating.
I didn't want another service where I'd have to import my bookmarks or move everything into a separate database. I wasn't looking for another bookmark manager, I was looking for a better way to use the bookmarks I already had.
That's why I built Bookmash. It works directly with your existing Chrome and Firefox bookmarks, giving you a better way to search, organize and navigate them.
Here's what Bookmash adds:
Search — Search across all your bookmarks, regardless of which folder they're in.
Collections — Organize bookmarks in a flatter, more natural way, while still keeping your browser's native folder structure available whenever you want it.
MyMash (optional) — A dedicated space for the bookmarks you use every day — think the 10 bookmarks I open every single day — without reorganizing your browser folders.
Real-time sync — Your dashboard and browser stay synchronized in real time.

It’s amazing how Product Hunt gives me the chance to discover interesting products that I sometimes don’t even realize I need until I see them, haha.
The problem with bookmarks is so real that I think almost everyone here can relate to what Bookmash is trying to solve. I personally keep saving and saving things that eventually end up forgotten somewhere.

Not asking people to import everything is the smartest call here — that migration step is where most bookmark tools lose me. Search across nested folders + a space for the handful I actually open daily is exactly the gap. Congrats on shipping, @ir3ne ! 🎉
