👋 Hello, awesome Product Hunt community! I'm Gabe, one of the co-founders of Bex. We're both excited and a bit nervous to introduce Bex to you today. Although we're technically still in Beta, we believe there's significant value in what we’ve built so far, and we’re eager to validate that through feedback from this epic community. We know you'll be transparent with your thoughts, and we can't wait to listen. 🙏 Bex aims to unlock the valuable information that most companies store—and eventually lose—in Slack. As you and your colleagues ask Bex questions and provide the correct answers, Bex will either create new documentation or update your existing documentation with this new information. We’ve also created a Slack shortcut that lets you document any message containing valuable information (that will likely be queried again in the future), and Bex will automatically add this to your relevant documentation. You can see a full demo of our Beta here: https://youtu.be/d_est6gMp8M Importantly, we’ve taken steps to combat hallucination. We require a human-in-the-loop process 🕵️ to verify the merging of document updates, and we create in-line source citations referring back to the exact discussion where the new information was shared. We’ve completely opened up our platform to this community. You can sign up for free and get unlimited access for 7 days. We’ll then reach out directly to see if Bex adds continued value to your workflows. To get an idea of pricing, we're thinking $20 per editor with unlimited team members who can query, answer and view. We’re incredibly excited to get your feedback and will be here all day to answer questions, fix bugs, and chat about the Future of Work! 🚀 P.S. A lot of people ask why we named our company Bex. We want Bex to be seen as a peer so good at capturing up-to-date information that when colleagues ask you a question, you can simply say: "Don't ask me, ask Bex!" 😂 All the best, Gabe & Zach

@gabe_stein Congrats on the launch! This is such a great product. I tried and I love it. Bex saves me so much time with documentation. I can focus on growing my startup rather than documenting everything.
Gabe Stein
@renny_chan_hikaru Thanks so much legend.

Kostya Bolshukhin
@gabe_stein & @zach_bresler awesome idea and solid demo video! Incredibly useful for Sales and Customer Success teams, especially with changes in pricing, seasonal promotions, and constantly evolving plan packages! It could serve as a bridge between finance, leadership, and AEs
Gabe Stein
@zach_bresler @kostyabolsh Thanks Kostya! That's a great point! I must admit I know more about Product X Engineering workflows but that makes a lot of sense :)
Kostya Bolshukhin
@zach_bresler @gabe_stein I worked as Sales Director and Head of Customer Success, thus i am watching it from a bit different perspective :)
Gabe Stein
@kostyabolsh Would you be open to me DM'ing you?? Would love to hear more about your workflows.

Hey Gabe! This is an awesome concept. The pain point of losing valuable info in Slack is real, and Bex seems like a game changer for that! I love the idea of a human-in-the-loop to keep things accurate—super smart move. Plus, the short cut feature sounds like a time saver! Can't wait to see how it evolves. Cheers to you and Zach for bringing this to life!
Gabe Stein
@blankwebdev Thanks so much! Appreciate it :)
Kyrylo Silin
Hey Gabe and Zach, Bex sounds incredibly useful for managing and preserving valuable team knowledge within Slack. I'm curious about the human-in-the-loop verification process for document updates. How seamless is it, and does it require much manual effort from the team members? Congrats on the launch!
Gabe Stein
@kyrylosilin Hey Kyrylo! Appreciate that thank you! The human-in-the-loop just acts as a final step of verification that Bex did not hallucinate when making the update. Users can still ask Bex related questions and they will receive answers based on the unverified information (We already know the answer is correct in this case). So really it is not something that needs to be done immediately. That being said, the document owner gets a notification in Slack when an update to their document is made, so that they can quickly click through, see if it is correct and then accept the update :)

Congrats on the launch, really briliant idea! Is there possibility to mark information as out of date?
Gabe Stein
@tymzap Thanks man! Currently not yet but we're working on it!
Dustin Górski
Congrats on your launch! I had the same idea for exactly this kind of product not too long ago but didn't find the time to build it so glad someone else did. Looks great and wish you the best of luck!
Gabe Stein
@dustedcodes Thanks so much Dustin :)
