What's great

I do marketing and most of my day used to go into things that felt productive but weren't. pulling competitor data, organizing outreach lists, running the same SEO checks every week. important work but the kind that makes you wonder where the day went. I connected my tools to BetterClaw and now agents handle all of that in the background while I focus on the work that actually needs me to think. the part that surprised me most wasn't the automation itself, it was how fast I was up and running. I expected the usual "simple" that actually takes a weekend to figure out. this genuinely took minutes. plugged in my keys, built what I needed, done. no one had to help me. that never happens with tools like this

What needs improvement

a few ready-made workflows for common marketing use cases would make the first hour even smoother. I figured everything out on my own but I can see someone newer giving up before they get to the good part. a small nudge like "here's how other marketers use this" would go a long way

I tried doing everything manually for longer than I should have. also explored self-hosting but the moment I saw Docker and config files I knew that wasn't my world. BetterClaw was the first tool where the setup was actually easier than explaining to someone else what I needed built

I've been using BetterClaw to research products and competitors, and it has significantly reduced the time I spend gathering information. The biggest thing for me was how fast it was to get started. I was expecting to spend time dealing with hosting, Docker, and all the setup that usually comes with AI agents, but I had an agent running in just a few minutes. I also like the BYOK approach since I use my own API key and know exactly what I'm paying for. It feels more transparent, and I don't have to worry about my conversations being routed through another service

What needs improvement

I'd love to see more ready-made templates for common workflows and a few more integrations. Better logs for debugging longer agent runs would also be helpful when something doesn't go as planned. Nothing major though—the core experience already feels solid.

The biggest win is how quickly you can get an AI agent running. Instead of spending hours setting up Docker, VPS hosting, OAuth, and security, you can connect your own AI provider and start automating work in minutes. The BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) approach is also a huge plus because it keeps costs transparent and gives you full control over your data. I also appreciate that the free plan isn't artificially limited—you can actually build something useful before deciding whether to upgrade.

What needs improvement

I'd love to see more ready-to-use templates for common business workflows, deeper analytics for tracking agent performance and task success, and support for more native integrations. A mobile app or push notifications for important agent actions would also make the experience even better. For teams using the free plan, a slightly higher task limit or longer memory retention would make it even more practical for day-to-day use.

vs Alternatives

I looked at OpenClaw and n8n for self-hosting, but both require much more setup and ongoing maintenance. BetterClaw felt like the best balance between flexibility and ease of use. It gives me the power of AI agents without having to manage infrastructure, security patches, or complex configurations myself.

What's great

It completely drops the infrastructure and deployment overhead of setting up autonomous agents. I had my Telegram automation workflows running in a minute without touching a single deployment file. The visual graph builder is actually useful for mapping logic rather than just being fluff, and the fact that you can bring your own API keys (BYOK) with zero inference markup is a huge plus. Huge time saver.

What needs improvement

Since it's still early, I'd love to see even deeper logging features for debugging complex, multi-step agent runs when they fail mid-loop, as well as a few more native webhook integrations out of the box. The core platform is incredibly solid, though.

vs Alternatives

I spent a weekend setting up OpenClaw locally and trying to manage it myself. While the open-source tool is great, maintaining the host infrastructure, worrying about background container memory leaks, and playing security roulette with unvetted community plugins quickly became a part-time job. BetterClaw was the obvious cloud alternative to save my weekends.

Set up my first agent in under 2 minutes, no code at all. I just connected my own OpenAI key (BYOK, no markup) and it started handling my inbox triage right away. Love that it runs on Slack and Telegram natively, and the kill switch gives me peace of mind since it's touching real data.

What needs improvement

The Free plan's limits (1 agent, 7-day memory) made me upgrade pretty quickly. Would love more docs on building custom skills.

vs Alternatives

Looked at self-hosting OpenClaw but didn't want to deal with Docker/VPS setup. BetterClaw got me running way faster with less maintenance hassle.

BetterClaw removes the infrastructure friction that usually comes with AI agents. I liked how quickly I could get an agent running through the visual setup, while still keeping practical controls such as BYOK, verified skills, approvals and a kill switch. The free plan makes it easy to experience the product before committing.

What needs improvement

The onboarding should explain credits versus the underlying LLM cost earlier and with a concrete example. That would make the otherwise clear free-plan setup even easier to understand.

vs Alternatives

I considered self-hosting an agent stack, but BetterClaw let me focus on the workflow instead of Docker, YAML, VPS maintenance and security plumbing. It felt much more approachable without giving up control over the model key.
