Baserok is customer discovery without the interviews. Paste what you're building and get a cited JTBD report from live Reddit, App Store reviews, and Google Trends in 2-5 minutes. It surfaces grounded personas, ranked feature ideas, confidence scores, and what to validate next, so founders can stop building on guesswork and start building what customers actually want.

Hey Product Hunt, I built Baserok because too many founders build the wrong thing for their customers, and they usually realise it far too late.
That is the problem I care about most.
Not shipping too slowly. Shipping quickly in the wrong direction.
Most founders know they should do customer discovery. But in real life, it often breaks down. Interviews take time. Early signals are messy. Good research is slow. So people guess. They trust instinct, a few conversations,
or an AI summary that sounds smart but has nothing solid underneath it.
That is how months disappear.
Baserok was built to make early customer understanding faster, sharper, and evidence-based.
You paste what you are building and who it is for, and Baserok pulls live public signal from Reddit, App Store reviews, and Google Trends to generate a structured JTBD report in 2-5 minutes.
Each run gives you:
Grounded personas - a view of your customer profile
Jobs to Be Done - what is the underlying thing they're trying to solve for?
Ranked feature ideas - which features are delightful? We'll guide you.
Day-in-the-life simulations - we bring to life your customers with unmatched context
Confidence scores on every claim - how 'right' are you about your ideas? We offer a scorecard approach
A clear "validate these 3 things next" checklist - test your ideas before you go too far
Pivot and reframe your ideas - if you need more ideas, you can remix and iterate quickly to inspire more ideation.
A few things were non-negotiable when building it:
Every insight must trace back to a real source - the data points are real and cited.
Confidence must come from evidence, not the model grading itself.
This should sharpen interviews, not pretend to replace them - this is a starting point for your broader founder journey.
If the signal is weak, Baserok should say so. I would rather show uncertainty than generate confident nonsense.
This is built for founders, makers, and product teams who want to avoid wasting time on the wrong roadmap before it gets expensive. Resources are precious, time, cash, hope :-) there are limits on all of them - I want to help people build the right thing, for the right people so you can find traction.
First few runs are free, no credit card required.
Would genuinely love your take on the following:
Have you ever built too far before realizing you were solving the wrong problem?
Would you trust public-signal research like this before running interviews?
What part of early product discovery still feels too slow, too fuzzy, or too manual?
Thanks for checking it out. Happy to answer anything, and I would genuinely value your feedback on our platform so far (I get the irony of that statement btw) 😀
