I used Barter for my business and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing.
At first, the platform looked promising and the sales pitch made it sound like Barter would be a good fit for our company. I put in a lot of effort to make it work. I spent time setting everything up, following up, and trying to get value from the platform, but in the end it brought us 0 results.
The biggest issue for me was the subscription and cancellation process. It felt like we were signing up for a trial or a one year commitment, but afterwards it seemed much harder to get out than expected. Cancelling was not straightforward, and in my experience the cancellation was not properly honoured, while the subscription continued.
For other business owners, I would strongly recommend reading all terms very carefully before signing anything. Do not rely only on the sales pitch or the promise that Barter will work for your business.
In my experience, Barter cost us a lot of time, energy and frustration, with no real return. I personally would not recommend it.
