Hey PH community! I'm so happy to be here today representing our amazing and incredibly talented team to share with you our latest tool Back4app Agent. Back4app Agent is an AI-powered tool created to autonomously assist developers in building, deploying, and troubleshooting applications. Our goal when creating the Agent was to simplify the DevOps process, boost efficiency, and increase productivity. Think of the agent this way: It's your personal AI DevOps assistant that you can rely on 24/7. So does the agent do? ✅ Executes tasks: Input your requirements or issues and the Agent generates solutions, code snippets, and troubleshooting steps, and executes & and implements them in the cloud. ✅ Deploys applications: Ensure a transparent and traceable deployment process by creating a new web app from a GitHub repository, managing its settings, initiating new deployments, and accessing detailed logs. ✅ Creates and manages applications: Deploy cloud code, retrieve content, call REST/GraphQL, APIs, fetch schemas, create classes, insert data, and execute cloud code functions. ✅ Manages code repos: With our seamless integration with GitHub, you can fully manage your repositories directly from the Back4app Agent. With the Agent, you can access your repos, push new code, fetch existing code, monitor changes, manage branches, and clone repos. Thanks so much for taking the time to check out our launch. We'd love to hear your feedback, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments! Happy Friday! 🎉 Gus

Great product! This really revives the original mission of Parse which was to make app development easily accessible for the masses. Now with this tool a developer can kickstart their first app without writing a single line of code. This truly is revolutionary - amazing job!
@mtrezza Thank you for your message Manuel!
@mtrezza Hey thank you for your support. For sure, with the backend and the agent you can reach another level of productivity!
Alexander Ptitsyn
Hi, Gus! I'm wondering, how did you make such a wonderful product? Accept my congratulations!
Joshua Tebepina
@gusoliveira_ Impressive stuff. Congratulations Gus!!!
Ksenia Goron
Congrats with the launch! Sounds like a magic too for deployment 🚀 Do you have a plan to incorporate it to the primary product or remain it as a separate tool under back4app umbrella?
@xeniagoron great question Ksenia! The Agent is incorporated into our product. All you have to do is log into your account and you can start using it from the dashboard 👍🏻
@xeniagoron thank you for your feedback! The idea is to develop the product further and integrate with clouds like AWS. Do you think this feature would be useful to you?
@xeniagoron Thank you for your question and for your support. The Agent also is an interface for the other back4app products so you can use Containers and Backend with Natural Language. And our goal is to integrate it with other Cloud providers to give more flexibility to our users.
Ksenia Goron
@gusoliveira_ I got it. Thanks for the reply!
Ksenia Goron
@alyssoncm I should say it's a great approach to extend the audience by empowering the core product! How do you validate your idea about the new feature? I'm interested in ways of collecting first feedback from early adopters. Or did you ask your product community and current users?
Fred K
Great feature, quite disruptive in the no code backend field! And loving your short, to-the-point youtube tutorials. Keep it up guys.
@fredkzk thank you so much Fred! With the release of the Agent, we're going to a full demo and walkthrough on YT 👍🏻
@fredkzk happy to hear that. The Agent goal is to pursue this vision and keep helping developers to release more code faster. As soon as you have more feedback on the Agent would love to hear. Thank you
Fred K
@alyssoncm One question though: the agent is great at understanding instructions. But as a no coder with little clue about how backends, containers, github work, can it answer questions about how to actually proceed, what the steps should be, prior to giving it instructions?
@fredkzk Thanks for your feedback, Fred. Do you think integrating this agent to AWS would be helpful in supporting other projects that are already up and running on major clouds?
Fred K
@george_batschinski1 Yes, AWS, Google Cloud, as well as integration with cloud computing servers like RunPod, RunDiffusion, etc...
Julien Ergan
Congrats! Looks really good for devops! Is there a way to abort or revert quickly and easily an wrong prompt? Will share it with my devops teammates.
@julienergan Thank you for your question. The process we recommend is initially to clone your environment and test the prompts before moving to production.
@julienergan Hi Julien. If you are using the developer environment as it is an isolated container you will not have this problem because all your code will be summited to GitHub as a PR.
Julien Ergan
@george_batschinski1 ha I see, thanks for your answer 👌
Julien Ergan
@alyssoncm thank you, that complements the answer from @george_batschinski1

Congrats on launching Back4app Agent, @gusoliveira_ It's really amazing how you've created an AI-powered tool to assist developers in building, deploying, and troubleshooting applications - all while dealing with nightmare hiccups along the way!!. The Agent sounds like a game-changer in simplifying the DevOps process and boosting efficiency. Can't wait to see how it helps developers increase productivity and streamline their workflow. Excited to dive in and explore all the features! P.s. If you're looking for a really honest team full of genuine people - Myself and Gus have been connecting on LinkedIn / PH and I can't speak more highly of someone who I've only met on the internet. So if you have any concerns/hesitations about the team and their professionalism/integrity, please feel free to reach out to me as a character reference!!
@dzaitzow thank you so much man! Our talks on LinkedIn over the past few months are part of the reason we're having such a great launch day. If you ever need anything, I'm here for you! Looking forward to your launch!
Daniel Zaitzow
@gusoliveira_ Much appreciated and thanks again!!!
@gusoliveira_ @dzaitzow Thank you for your support.
Suat Karabacak
DevOps become an easy daily job now. Thanks!
@suat_karabacak Thank you for your support @suatkarabacak ! I'm happy you liked the new product. Let me know any additional feedbacks you may have.
@suat_karabacak that's the goal. Thanks for the support 👍🏻
@suat_karabacak Hey Suat! Good to see you here on Product Hunt and thank you for being a long term Back4app user. See you Monday in our call.

Congrats on the launch! Existing coding assistants struggle when the project gets larger in size. How do you deal with this issue? Is the AI capable of finding its own way or do you have ways of making handholding relatively easy for humans (referencing modules, files etc)? Regardless, looks great, wish you lots of success!
@aliyesilyaprak That a great and difficult question. Here is what we are doing so far. We will store a summary of the non confidential project data and use this knowledge to prepare better questions to the AI models. That is, we will enrich the questions with previous knowledge so the results are better. Do you think this approach makes sense?
Ali Yesilyaprak
💡 Bright idea
@george_batschinski1 Yes, especially if the performance is good. I'm sure you already tested your product and it works great. It could still be a good idea to make it easy and intuitive to enter complex commands with relatively smaller metadata for when the model fails to figure things out. (Ex: Create a new user class in /project/module/submodule/file.ext and add register endpoint to /..... I think we are often okay with entering a bit more information as long as it doesn't create too much friction, like referencing the file). Just a small suggestion :)
@aliyesilyaprak Your suggestions make sense and will pass them to our team.
@george_batschinski1 @aliyesilyaprak Great ideia Ali. Also, we are going to optimize the context memory and improve our models to create a deep understanding on each kind of project.
