tapping a map pin to log a receipt is such a natural way to track expenses, especially for gig workers who are constantly moving between jobs. the local-only encryption angle is a nice trust signal too.
The map-based capture idea is really smart for people who forget receipts while out. One thing that would make me actually switch from my current setup: add a mileage tracker that ties drives to specific client jobs, since that deduction is huge for self-employed folks and right now I bounce between three different apps to log it all.
Really glad to see the local-only approach since most expense apps feel like data grabs. One idea: add mileage tracking that auto-detects drives via motion sensors and ties them to the same map pin system, since vehicle expenses are a huge Schedule C line item most folks under-claim.
Tap-to-capture on the map is genuinely clever, feels way faster than digging through photos later. Love that everything stays on-device too.
