Premiere-native is a smart wedge. Removing restarts, filler words, and bad takes while keeping the editor in control solves the right boring part. Does AutoEdit preserve enough timeline structure that editors can audit each AI cut quickly?

@sarveshsea Hi Sarvesh, Yeah totally, theres actually a whole page that lets you review the edits before they are finalized so you can vet claude and check to see if it makes any mistakes. Thanks for the comment though man, great point!
As someone who occasionally edits long-form content, removing silences, filler words, and bad takes is always the most repetitive part. How much manual review do creators typically do after AutoEdit generates the rough cut?

@thankaselvan great question, the cool part is that AutoEdit Creator Mode, is that it lets you review the takes before it applies the edits, you can keep all of them or cut none.
Congrats on the launch! Curious how does AutoEdit distinguish between filler pauses and intentional dramatic beats?

@crystalmei Hey Xuefei, thanks for the comment! thats a great question, basically, it uses a preset skill prompt that we trianed the model on to understand the topic and point of the video and cut based on what makes sense given the topic of the video. But also it wont always be perfect, so thats why we included a safety check mode to let users vet claudes decisions before the edits are made. But great point!
The "editors stay in control of creative decisions" part is what sells me — most auto-editors butcher the pacing. As a music producer I waste forever cutting filler out of studio breakdown videos. Does it let you dial how aggressive the silence trimming is, or is it one-size-fits-all?

@lennoxbeflying Hi Ziang, great question, yes we actually do have a slider control that lets users dial down how agreessive the silence cutting is. I added a screenshot of it below because im actually editing a reel using it as we speak right now 😅
This is really exciting and I’ve been waiting for someone to build technology like this. The idea of having to upload all of my raw footage into the cloud and then use up a tremendous number of resources analyzing and processing it has never made a ton of sense to me.
I use Final Cut Pro though, so I’m curious if it has the same technical hooks to allow something like this to operate and do you plan on expanding your tool to Final Cut Pro?

@jasonrdunn Thanks Jason! Yeah we agree, cloud uploads also take FOREVER. But yes, finalcut and davinci plugin versions are next on our list!

Can you explain the pricing to me? I see that the cheapest tier is for two hours of video; does that mean two hours of output or does that mean two hours of raw video can be ingested and then edited into an into a video. I’ll be honest, I was hoping for pricing that appealed to a prosumer, not businesses.

@imtiaj_ahmad the plugin takes around 1-2 mins to load for a 10 mins clip of video processing, but it can also run much faster if you have a fast wifi connection. Its uses a Claude clouad connection to premiere pro to porccess all decisions making it a truly agentic video editor!
