Articos MCP launched yesterday and ended the day at #1. 327 upvotes and a wall of thoughtful comments.
For a bootstrapped team, that caught us off guard, especially in a field this strong. We launched the same day as some great teams, @opencode , @Fina @Kai, and the folks behind them, @thdxr, @clay_raterman, @jim_hartung. Good day for all of us
Big thanks to @chrismessina for hunting us again. The pre-launch calls shaped the whole thing, the story, the flow, the maker comment. Chris pushed us to lead with the actual value instead of just it s an MCP now, and that reframe is a big reason yesterday worked.
Would this work for a SaaS product that is still refining its ideal customer profile?
@amybradley Yeah, that’s a good fit actually. You can run a few different buyer profiles and see which one responds to your messaging, so it helps you narrow the ICP instead of guessing at it. Happy to show you, it’s at articos.com if you want to try it. (free trial with 2 studies, no credit card)
Can Articos help teams test pricing strategies and understand how different customer segments might react to different price points?
@carter_garcia Yeah. Run user interview, set your context and segments, test a few price points, and see how each reacts, who pushes back, who doesn’t. Same price usually lands very differently across segments, which is the part worth looking at.
How does Articos generate different buyer perspectives, especially when targeting a very specific niche market?
@imogen_wallace You give it your niche, the role, context, what they actually care about, and it builds the personas from that, grounded in research, not made up. Works even better for narrow or underserved niches, where real research is hard to come by. Full methodology here if you want it: https://www.articos.com/science-and-methodology
Can Articos identify potential objections customers might have before they decide to purchase a product or service?
@colton_drake Yeah, that’s one of its main uses, it surfaces the objections and hesitations buyers have before they commit.
I'd test positioning first. We just went back and forth between calling our product a "WhatsApp AI" and an "AI employee", and settled it by gut. My question is about who the personas are. The validation is against Baymard and Nielsen Norman, which is mostly western research. Would it hold for something like Indian D2C store owners, or is that outside what it's been tested on?
@suryavmds Hey! Great ques - yes, we do have customer testing D2C stuff as well. Would love your feedback once you get a chance to try
ICP is where I would use this tbh. we always think we know our buyers and then the data says otherwise. Can you pressure test that too, or is it more for messaging?
@hira_maqsood yes you can.
Testing messaging is one of those things every team agrees they should do, but just doesn't happen right up until a launch deadline 😅
Making it possible to pressure-test a positioning change in the middle of the workflow is a very very interesting use of MCP.
@tamilselvi_ramasamy2 Glad it landed, and thanks for the support.
