I’m a chef from Switzerland, and AromaKompass started with a simple question: How can we make the knowledge behind great food more accessible: instead of keeping it locked away in experience, books and scattered sources? What started with flavor pairing has grown into a much broader culinary knowledge platform. AromaKompass combines scientific flavor pairing with ingredient and aroma knowledge, wine and beverage pairing, nutrition and allergen information, seasonal knowledge, professional templates, culinary education and practical tools for chefs, sommeliers, bartenders and other food professionals. The platform is currently available **in German only**, with a strong focus on Switzerland and the wider German-speaking DACH market. An English version is planned as AromaKompass grows. The goal is simple: bring useful culinary knowledge together in one place and make it practical for everyday work. I’m launching AromaKompass on Product Hunt to connect with people who genuinely care about food, culinary education and the science behind what we eat. One of the reasons I built AromaKompass was the realization that so much valuable culinary knowledge is scattered across books, courses, personal experience and different sources.

It started as a flavor-pairing project and has grown into a broader culinary knowledge platform covering flavor science, ingredients, wine & beverage pairing, nutrition, allergens, seasonality, professional templates and culinary education.

The platform is currently German-only and focused on Switzerland and the wider DACH market.
