PC Authenticator is a powerful and user-friendly extension designed to help you securely manage your 2FA codes right from your desktop. With a modern, intuitive interface, we make it easy to add, organize, and access your 2FA accounts for all your services.
I built PC Authenticator because I kept running into the same frustration—I'd be working on my PC, ready to log into a site, and then… reach for my phone, unlock it, open the authenticator app, find the code, copy it... you know the drill. It felt like a small friction point, but one that added up every day.
The "aha" moment was when I realized: I already trust my desktop enough to log into important services—why not have my 2FA codes right here too, with proper local security?
As for the hardest part: definitely balancing usability with privacy and security. Most browser extensions aren't designed to handle sensitive data securely, so making sure the codes stay completely local and aren't exposed was a top priority. Designing a clean UI that’s both functional and trustworthy-looking was also trickier than I expected.
