Hi everyone, maker here.
I built Lexicow out of a simple frustration: almost every vocabulary site is just a static list of words and definitions. You read them, nod, and forget them an hour later.
So the idea here is different. Every word gets its own short animated scene, narrated by a cow, that shows the meaning instead of just telling it. Turns out motion and a bit of character make words stick far better than a definition ever could.
Right now Lexicow covers four things:
Words — animated pages for individual vocabulary
Synonyms & Antonyms — related words grouped together
Confusing Words — the pairs learners actually get wrong (affect vs effect, that kind of thing), with side-by-side compare pages
It's aimed at TOEFL and IELTS learners but works for anyone building their English. Free, no signup.
It's still early and I'm adding words constantly, so I'd love to hear what's confusing, what's missing, or which words you'd want to see animated next. Thanks for taking a look.
