When we used automation tools like Zapier at my previous job, we found that it became incredibly expensive very quickly, and we had only too few options to self-host business automation when data had to reside on prem. So we built Activepieces to solve these problems. 💡 Bright idea
Hey there, I recently did a pretty decent intro to self-hosted tools on my website Tedium (https://tedium.co/2023/03/04/sel...), and of the tools I tried, ActivePieces was easily one of the best. I also found that when I ran into issues, they were one of the most responsive when it came to support. They reached out for clarification on my issue and were able to offer useful advice. At a time when Zapier is raising its prices in a big way, it is great that we have an alternative this strong to turn to. I'm happy to see them launch on Product Hunt!

This looks really nice! Congrats on the launch. I've started using n8n recently. How would you compare Activepieces to n8n?

@timobechtel N8n is awesome, but it's not open source, it's source-available and if you use it commercially you need to think twice about how to play along with its commercial license. Regardless of that, we love to think that Activepieces is seriously built to no-code users with less complexity on the interface and minimal technical terminology or references. But maybe I'm wrong, I'd love to hear your thoughts about it when you give it a try!
