Existing dev community that supported the project early on was crucial - they were the biggest motivation for me to take the project open-source, and were the biggest source of feedback and support later on.
Being a reply guy is highly efficient at start, and over the course of 2 months it brought us around 200 stars alone.
Also, if the product is good and interesting, eventually influencers will notice you and mention, bringing more traffic.

Ease of use, ability to understand my instructions, and design and produce code fast.
I use a lot of plugins, some custom made but most are open-source by other great contributors - I strongly recommend using (not just installing, but actively using) superpowers, subagentic development, and consensus rules - the last thing I made on my own but have not open-sourced yet, and it is very easy to make yourself - whenever claude made a design decision, ask it to "spawn 3 fable agents and independently ask them to critically review your design. make sure to include the problem context, and quote your proposed solutions as 'intern's' "
This last consensus logic is incredibly useful at filtering through silly proposals that Claude gives after 250-300k context.
Also, final recommendation - compact after 170-250k context on fable.
