ZeroHz
@nerdmakr hi, helpful tool, great that u built it, and may i suggest u that u first make it free for around 4 months and then after getting traction make it paid with more features
ZeroHz
@javlonbek_shodmonov Thanks for the suggestion!
ZeroHz is free to use, and if someone wants a more seamless experience they can upgrade to the paid version.
New advanced features that I add in the future will also be offered to paid users.
Does this model feel reasonable to you? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
@nerdmakr yes, exactly!!! Very reasonable offer
I usually spend so much time searching for playlists on YouTube, so having everything in one place sounds super convenient.
Do you plan to add more sounds beyond the 12 you have right now?
ZeroHz
@suvinlee_trav Thanks so much for the kind words! 🙏
I totally agree that having everything in one place saves a lot of time.
About the sounds:
Yes, I do plan to expand beyond the current 12 soundscapes. I'm preparing a few new ambient packs and lo-fi layers so users can mix and match more freely. I’m taking it slowly to maintain overall quality, but more sounds are definitely on the way.
I’m also continuously searching for high-quality ambient sounds, and future updates will steadily include new additions.
If you have any specific moods or themes you'd like to see, I’d love to hear them!
@nerdmakr Thank you so much for the thoughtful reply!
Would it be possible to add wave sounds as well?
What really resonates with me is how much unnecessary time this saves.
We’re actually launching an app soon too, and we’re very focused on helping people save time in small but meaningful ways.
ZeroHz
@suvinlee_trav Thank you so much, that really means a lot.
Yes, wave sounds are already included 🙂
A lot of people seem to gravitate toward ocean and wave ambience when they want to focus.
I’m especially glad the time saving aspect resonated with you.
That was actually the core motivation behind ZeroHz removing small, unnecessary decisions that quietly break focus.
Also, congrats on your upcoming launch.
I love seeing products that help people save time in subtle but meaningful ways.
Wishing you a smooth launch and would love to check it out when it’s live.
Really cool! Can you include some photos of what the menu bar app looks like when installed on Mac?
ZeroHz
@patrickpetcejj Sure! Why not?
like this:

@patrickpetcejj You can now see the demo video at the top!
Wow, ZeroHz looks amazing! The ambient sounds + timer combo is exactly what I need. Im curious, can you mix the ambient sounds, or are they preset combos only?
ZeroHz
@jaydev13 Thanks Jay! Really appreciate your interest.
Yes, the ambient sounds in ZeroHz can be mixed.
You can select multiple soundscapes, adjust each volume independently, and create your own blend that fits your focus mood.
I’m also curious about your intention.
Are you looking to mix the existing sounds, or do you want to generate completely new ambient sounds yourself?
I’d love to hear what kind of sound experience you’re imagining, since your input will help shape future updates.
@nerdmakr Thanks for explanation. I was thinking more about mixing ones that I have existing for starters, but generation also sounds very interesting. I will explore more into this. I am launching my product next week, and would love to have your team check it out and tell me their thoughts.
ZeroHz
@jaydev13 Sounds great. Please keep me posted when you launch!
I personally love mixing lo-fi with existing tracks.
Have you considered adding a feature that lets users blend different types of music like this?
ZeroHz
@hee323 Thanks so much for the idea!
I also enjoy blending lo-fi layers with different tracks, so I completely understand what you mean.
To make sure I understood your suggestion correctly:
Are you imagining a feature where users can take an existing track and layer lo-fi or ambient sounds on top of it?
At the moment, ZeroHz only uses music that is commercially usable due to copyright restrictions, so external sources like YouTube or Spotify can’t be mixed directly. However, it may be possible to let users import their own local audio files and sync them with ZeroHz, as long as everything stays on the device. That could be a great way to maintain copyright safety while offering more flexibility.
If you have any specific ideas for how you’d want this to work, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Hey
Do you want to add a short demo for onboarding?
ZeroHz
@harrison_wealth Yes, I just added a short demo video above. Hope it helps!
I bought my pro license! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. This is the last app I wanted to replace all of my used apps with Setapp, so now I no longer need the subscription and can save money all while having better apps! THANK YOU for the GORGEOUS setup!
ZeroHz
@nicholas_greenweck Oh my god, thank you so much!
