What do you think? …

Jerry Zhang
Hi Product Hunt! 👋 We’ve used Xmind for years to think through projects — but execution often lived elsewhere. With v26, we’re bringing lightweight project management into your AI mind map so planning and tracking finally stay in one place. What’s new → Turn nodes into Tasks with dates, priority, and progress. → Switch structures: break work down with Org Chart, set milestones on Timeline. → Real-time collaboration for comments and edits. → Pitch Mode to present updates in one click. → Keep each project tidy in Spaces. Why we built this Many teams don’t need a heavy PM suite for early-stage work. They want to go from brainstorm → plan → share without context switches. That’s the gap we’re closing. How we’re different We start where ideas are born (your map), then add just enough structure to ship. It complements, not replaces, heavyweight tools. We’d love your feedback and questions—use cases you want supported, gaps you notice, or templates you’d like to see. There’s an interactive demo and a small template pack in the gallery. Thanks for checking us out!
Shake Lyu

@hacksman Congratulations on the launch! This sounds like a fantastic update, especially the integration of lightweight project management directly into mind maps. How do you envision users typically leveraging the new "Spaces" feature for different projects or teams?

Jerry Zhang

@lvyanghuang Thanks, Shake! 🙌 Glad you like it — integrating lightweight project management right into maps has been a fun step for us.

As for Spaces, we see them as a simple way to keep different projects or workstreams organized — whether it’s by team, topic, or personal vs. work use.

Curious — how do you usually separate your projects or teams?

Masum Parvej

@hacksman Which new feature in v26 helps most with keeping projects organized and on track?

Jerry Zhang

@masump Great question, Masum! 🙌

The new Project view is definitely the biggest help — it turns your mind maps into trackable project boards with tasks and timelines.

Personally, I love pairing it with the Timeline view to keep everything moving smoothly.

How do you usually manage your projects now?

CK Chang Kim

@hacksman Congrats on the launch - upvoted!

Jerry Zhang

@cksaywise Thx 🙌

JaredL

XMind is my favorite mind map tool! 🫡

Pitch Mode and Timeline look especially useful!

Congrats on the launch!

Jerry Zhang

@jaredl Thanks a lot! 🙏 So glad to hear Xmind’s your go-to tool!

Since you’re into Timeline, you might enjoy the new Project features too — you can turn tasks right inside your map and track them visually. Have you tried it yet?

JaredL

@hacksman Oh that sounds cool — I haven’t tried the Project view yet!

Jerry Zhang

@jaredl Definitely give it a spin! It’s perfect for keeping side projects structured without heavy tools.

Alex Cloudstar

Love this v26 update. Starting in the map then layering light PM is exactly what early stage teams need. Turning nodes into tasks, Timeline and Pitch Mode look perfect for keeping momentum without context switches. Excited to try Spaces and collab. Congrats on the launch!

Jerry Zhang

@alexcloudstar Appreciate it, Alex! That’s exactly what we aimed for — helping teams plan and act seamlessly in one place. Can’t wait to hear what you think about Spaces!

Nika

You made it so playful, love at first sight. Have you considered implementing editing options? e.g. changing colours of the elements?

Jerry Zhang

@busmark_w_nika Yep, you can! Just click on an element and you’ll be able to change its color, font, structure, and more 🎨

If you’d like to explore all the editable options in detail, check out the User Guide on our website — it covers everything step by step.

Curious — what kind of edits do you usually make most often? 👀

Nika

@hacksman Thank you, I didn't know about that. I am a more visual type of person, so I was tempted to change it :D

Rajan Rk

Just tried Xmind for the first time, love the lightweight blend of mind mapping and project management. Takes a bit to get used to, a quick tips guide would help. Overall, a refreshing and solid launch!

Jerry Zhang

@iamrajanrk Thanks, Rajan! 🙌 Glad you enjoyed it!

We’ve got some quick guides and video tips over on our Academy and User Guide pages — super handy for getting started.

Give them a look, and let us know if there’s anything you’d like to see covered next!

Rajan Rk

@hacksman Cool, I'll check it out. Thanks!

Cruise Chen

Xmind provides a way to skip clunky setups and map out projects visually—turning mind maps straight into Gantt charts is super cool! Curious if the AI breakdown works for really big, messy brainstorms?

Jerry Zhang

@cruise_chen Thanks, Cruise! 🙌

Yep — the AI breakdown can definitely handle messy brainstorms (we’ve all been there 😅).

It’s designed to structure chaos into clear steps, though for really huge maps, we’re still fine-tuning how deep it should go.

Julie Su

Finally supports Gantt charts! Can I import Notion's database and Gantt view into Xmind?

Jerry Zhang

@julie_su Haha, you read our minds! 👀

Can’t say too much yet, but importing from Notion is actually on the way — not too far off!

Curious — do you mostly use Notion for personal projects or team planning?
