A few things I wish Willow had: 1) A way to auto-delete transcripts after a certain number of days instead of having to go in and manually delete them periodically, 2) Privacy settings should carry over from the desktop to iOS, they didn't when I did my setup from Windows to my iPad, and 3) An Android app! I can't fully switch until it's available on Android, and maintaining two sets of dictionaries and shortcuts is not very appealing.
Also I'd suggest considering a less expensive subscription plan that includes some features in Pro but without unlimited Scribe. Some of us don't want AI to do our writing for us and don't need it to understand our writing style. I wouldn't pay almost $150/year for the other Pro features, but there are other nice features in Pro. I would definitely consider paying $5/month or $60 year if I could get the increased dictation length, local transcription, priority access to features, if possible unlimited Frontier Pro (if that would financially make sense at the lower subscription price point, although Frontier Mini seems pretty good), and an Android app.
Heyo Product Hunt. Excited to bring another launch from Willow today.
2 weeks ago, we introduced Willow Knowledge, which learns from the memory you import from LLMs and writes like you.
Today, we’re excited to introduce Wally, our new Scribe agent :)
You can now chat with Wally by voice or text. Work through an idea, brain-dump your thoughts or tell it what you want to write. It keeps the conversation, so you can follow up and keep going till it gets it right.
If you’re writing an email, tell Wally what you want to say. Once you have a draft, you can ask it to change the tone or add something you forgot. You can also highlight text in the app you are using and ask Wally to rewrite it, then paste the result back in.
As you go back n forth, Wally learns how you write and what you prefer. It also remembers from the edits you make after pasting.
Wally uses Knowledge too. If you’ve brought your writing preferences and personal context into Willow from ChatGPT, Claude, or another AI, Wally can use that information in your conversations. You can review and edit those details in Knowledge anytime.
Wally is available for everyone. Download and try chatting with it or working on something you need to write today. Our team is here today to answer any questions. If you have any feedback, plz drop it in the comments. Appreciate y'all for checking out our launch today 🙏🏼
@5harath I like that wally learns from your edits instead of making you repeat your prefrences every time how well does it handle different writing styles?
@shivam_kushwaha16 thanks. Wally learns how you email vs how you slack vs how you prompt.
Since it has screen awareness and context, Wally kinda knows where you are working.
We also have preferences that you can customize based on apps you use + you can also create custom apps like Notion, Docs etc. so it will pick up when you start using Scribe.
Big update! And great mascot
@alexisohanian thanks! This means a lot coming from you 🙏🏼
I dictate to models all day with Wispr Flow and it works well for me, so I'm the person you'd have to win over. Learning from my edits after I paste would get me to look twice. How many edits does it take before it actually writes like me?
@simon_moxon You'll see improvements with Scribe after just a few edits. For it to really sound like you, we've found that around three edits on the same platform typically does the trick!
With tools like this the problem is always memory, I have already multiple agent and don't know anymore who knows what, do you have a plan for that ?
Been using Willow for a while cus of @jesslynteojy , excited to see what the @Willow Voice team has in store next!
Appreciate you @jensenhuangyk would love to hear your thoughts on Wally :)
And yes@jesslynteojy is the GOAT!
Hey, how is this different or similar to Scribe? Is this replacing Scribe? I'm really excited to try this.
Cool launch! Love the focus of improving voice & learning from the context of the app you're using. Lots of craft from this team :)
@shrey150 thanks for supporting us. Love folks at Browserbase as well :)
