Anyone can learn faster with science-backed learning methods. Traverse.link lets you use those methods to study more effectively for new skills and qualifications. The app comes with linked notes, mindmapping, active recall and spaced repetition flashcards.
Hi PH,
Dom from Traverse.link here! Traverse.link is a web app that lets you learn new skills faster.
I originally created Traverse.link for myself when I was struggling to learn Mandarin Chinese. I went down a rabbit hole on neuroscience and metacognition, and came up with this opinionated method to learn new skills faster:
Understand: Organize your study notes visually as a tree of knowledge, so you can understand the fundamental principles (Elon Musk's approach).
Memorize: Ask yourself questions about the material, and then review those questions at the optimal time (just when you're about to forget it).
Apply: The knowledge is now available for your brain to use, so you can apply it in real life and form creative connections.
Traverse.link lets you use this method to study more effectively. People have used it so far to acquire AWS certificates, pass competitive exams in law, medicine, maths, CS, and learn new technical skills like WP.
Give it a try for whatever skill you're learning now, and post your questions and feedback here 🙏
Thanks @chrismessina for hunting us!

@chrismessina@dominic_zijlstra You should mail unoversities and such for deals like Facebook did, students are not the easiest target audience if it's about paying subscriptions.
@chrismessina@pregenun That's a great idea @pregenun! Have been thinking of targeting professionals studying for certificate exams, but that might be a way that we can actually get students to subscribe as well
Thanks @rubenwolff! The free plan is limited to creating one course (you can still follow unlimited courses by others), the premium plan removes that restriction

I really like your approach. Will check it out. If I would like to get in touch with you regarding some feedback, where do you prefer to receive it? Thanks!
Good shout @ken_moo! Will need to build this to make it easier to get into the daily habit of learning

I really like the idea of this if you HAVE to learn something, and RETAIN that knowledge. Often we have to learn stuff for a short while, and then we can look it up next time we need it. This system might not be the best for that.
That's a good point @sebacic! I'm going to add a cram mode as well to learn stuff for a short time, this could help for exams although it's not the best way to learn for the long term

This is super interesting, considering all the new things we're constantly learning, having a proper system around this is so important! Congrats on the launch Dom!
