ToneBird exists so you hear that a lot less 😌
Replying to messages usually goes like this:
Type three lines → too blunt, delete
Type two more → too needy, delete
20 minutes later → "Sounds good! 👍"
Them: …that's it?
ToneBird writes the first draft for you, and it refuses to sound like a robot:
🙅 It won't open a message to your teammate with "I hope this message finds you well"
🙅 It won't reply to a client with "lol ok babe"
🙆 It remembers that thing you casually promised last week (you forgot. they didn't.)
The part I'm proudest of is that it gets relationships:
👥 Every person gets their own tone. Your best friend, your boss and your landlord don't get the same message.
🧠 It remembers the context around each person, so you're not starting from zero every time.
📬 It keeps track of who's still waiting on you, so nobody quietly falls through the cracks.
It's fast enough that the draft is already in your input box before you start overthinking. Tweak a word or just hit send. Nobody has to know 🤫
Works with Slack, Gmail, WeChat, iMessage and X, on Mac and Windows. Your conversations are never used to train models.

Congrats on shipping this, Lyn. How does it learn my voice at the start, from a backlog of sent messages or from watching me edit its drafts?

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Mengyao, and I work on growth at ToneBird.
A lot of my day is spent talking to creators and partners. And somehow, the messages that take me the longest are often the shortest.
“Could we do a lower rate?”
“Just checking in on the payment.”
“Can we move the deadline?”
I usually know what I want to say. I just don’t want to sound pushy, cold, or like I copied it from a template. So I reread the conversation, rewrite two sentences five times, and leave the draft sitting there while I answer something easier 😅
That’s the problem we’re working on with ToneBird.
It uses the context of your conversations and relationships to help you draft a reply in your own voice. You can give it your rough intent, let it help with the wording, and edit before sending.
For me, the important part is still having control. If I want to say no, I want help saying no clearly. I don’t want an AI turning it into a yes just to sound polite.

Also curious: what’s harder for you to reply to?
There are plenty of messages where the answer is clear but the wording isn't. Saying no to a request without making the relationship awkward is a good example.
I've been using it for nearly a week, and I think it's the best product I've used in the past six months!
