Timeslicer is an AI-powered screen blocker that watches your screen, detects distractions, and blocks them in real time. It’s like having a drill sergeant in your computer who knows your goals, when you’re slacking and forces you to lock in.
This is the 2nd launch from Timeslicer. View more

the "block by specific content and specific page, not just a whitelist" idea from your first launch already sold me on the concept, and turning that same watching into a self-writing diary is a smart pivot. one question on "everything is stored locally, we can't see your tasks" though - does the task inference engine that turns raw activity into named tasks run entirely on-device, or does it call out to a cloud model to do the classification? if it's the latter, "we can't see your tasks" would still be true for Timeslicer specifically, but the classifying model's provider would be seeing raw activity data even before the export-to-AI step you mentioned.
@hotslicer Intriguing. I have set it up.
I am interested to know, after learning what I do, does it time block as well? Like finding optimal work times, that would be very cool.

@roopesh_donde hey Roopesh! Thanks for installing, that’s a good idea I’ll look into it!
How do you usually plan your day?
@hotslicer It's all over the place. I wfh mostly. Starts around 10:30 am and runs past midnight. I plan the week—a list of things to be done rather than the day.
