HG Wells was the buzzfeed/Upworthy of the early 1900's. He knew how to grab attention, keep it, and then shock you at the end. He was a master of the long novel, but he was also quite proficient at short, exciting, humorous stories as well (as this story demonstrates). Enjoy!
