Hey everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹, Back in 2022, my wife and I went on a trip to Italy only to come back to dying houseplants. As smart home users, we thought it would be a great idea to build something to automate watering our houseplant and able to integrate with HomeKit or Matter and so we did. We quickly realized that the APIs for irrigation controllers in HomeKit and Matter are too limited for the features we wanted so we decided to pivot and roll out our own app. Siram, meaning to water (a plant) in Malay, is: ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Highly customizable: On top of the flexible in-app scheduling, the dual pump system, and multiple adjustable drippers allows you to customize to suit each plant's needs. ๐Ÿ“Š Get insights: Watering history is available for you to track your plantsโ€™ hydration journey. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ On-device storage: All data are stored safely on-device for maximum security and reliability. ๐Ÿ  Fully local: No cloud, no sign up required, Siram runs locally on your home network. If you're too busy developing your product, not enough MRR to have time to water your houseplants, well let Siram do it for you. After 2 years of development, we're excited to launch Siram and we'd love to hear your feedbacks ๐Ÿš€

Congrats on the launch of Siram, Hazimi! ๐ŸŒฑ Your solution for automating plant care is exactly what busy developers need. The customizable scheduling and dual pump system sound incredibly useful for catering to different plant needs. I appreciate the focus on on-device storage for data security and the no-cloud, local operation. It's evident you've put a lot of thought into this product. Looking forward to trying it out and seeing my plants thrive!

@ddd_fff Hey thank you very much for the warm words. We did put a lot of thoughts into it to make it flexible and reliable

This is amazing! My monstera and succulents have completely different watering schedules. Can Siram manage these variations effectively?
Hazimi Asyraf
@deniseemooree Hi Denise. There are two different pumps and they can be scheduled separately, different time, different frequency, different flow rate

An automated plant watering system sounds really useful for forgetful plant parents (been there done that). Questions: - I'm curious how the system handles different plant types with varying water needs? - Do you have plans to incorporate other plant care features like fertilizing or light monitoring in future updates? Congrats on the launch!
Hazimi Asyraf
@kyrylosilin Hi Kyrylo. There are two different pumps and they can be scheduled separately, different time, different frequency, different flow rate. If one pump waters multiple plants, the adjustable drippers can be tweaked to adjust the water pressure ie. flow rate for each plant. Depending on popular demand, we might add those additional features in the future

Congrats on launching Siram! The customizable dual pump system and on-device storage sound like game-changers for plant care. Excited to see how it integrates with HomeKit and Matter.

@hakz Thank you Hakim. Yes we're hopeful that we'll get to integrate with Homekit or Matter in the future too

Reading through the comments, I see gaps here, which means equal room for growth! Upvoted for my love of physical products!! Semua yang terbaik!

@faisal_ishaq1 Thank you Faisal. Building and getting a hardware product to production isn't the most easiest of jobs, but it's fun and fulfilling
