The Problem: Authentication is still largely focused on the application and creates a divide across marketing sites (blogs, landing pages, docs) and the actual webapp where the cool stuff happens. This divide adds needless friction. == What does Rownd do? == 🏠The Rownd Hub (a small widget) is your website’s authentication and profile tab. We give end-users a simple way to see their status, what data has been collected, and control over the data. ⚡️ One snippet for websites and an easy SDK for webapps (mobile app support coming soon). ✅ Any site. We work on webflow, wordpress, Jamstack sites fronted by Netlify, custom sites or you can add us to any site you can proxy through cloudflare. 🌉 Across sites. We can work across your websites. We are a bunch of makers who just got sick of the current auth solutions on the market. They either take too long to set up or they offload profile/PII responsibility back to the developer. @robert_thelen Congrats on the launch and well done! Adding authentication across a web app, marketing sites and mobile is way too hard still. So this is a massive problem to solve. Being able to add authentication in a privacy-friendly way without building out back-end infrastructure is a huge win. Good luck with the launch and Go Rownd! 🚀 🤩

No kidding I just hit this problem trying to come here and interact with this launch on @producthunt itself... Might be worth a peek from @rrhoover or perhaps some on his team? Wouldn't it be amazing if there were a seamless way for folks launching products here that have a mailing list or landing page could just jump their people directly into an account with ProductHunt? OK Story time about Auth, UX and customer pain.... Since PH decided to deprecate login with Angellist - I couldnt get into my existing account. "OK I say to myself I guess Ill just have to go login with twitter?" Aha! It created a new separate account @richardiporter1 ! "Well maybe this is just a mobile limitation, maybe tomorrow on my laptop there will be a "Recover my login" path.... Nope, Auth with google (but its a different email than I had used with AngelList - so now I have 3 logins! @richardiporter11 Luckily PH support chat had a human who was able to help and merge my 3 accounts into one - but if there hadn't been... talk about UX pain... Running into a login screen with only social auth logins without an email fallback or a simple way to jump into my existing account is a risk I wouldnt want to take if I didnt have to. Glad Rownd makes it possible to avoid that friction altogether!

I am going to admit. I don't know as much about this space as I should. But I personally know Rob Thelan. I don't know anyone else more passionate about this than him. I know first hand the type of person and founder Rob is and based on that I would check out this launch.
