Reviewers mostly like Remento for making family memories easy to capture, especially for parents or elders who would rather talk than write. Users praise the simple process, the combination of printed books and saved recordings, and the polished final book, with one reviewer also highlighting helpful support. But the feedback is not uniformly positive: a few reviewers report frustration with frequent reminders, difficulty deleting an account started by someone else, and a poor cancellation or refund experience around the Legacy Box, which hurt trust in the company.

This seems like a great product. I have two young children, and I can see how meaningful something like this could become over time.
My main concern is longevity. I understand that the recordings can be downloaded, which is reassuring, but the QR codes in the book still point to Remento’s servers. I imagine the product would be most valuable to my children in 30 or 40 years, so I would want confidence that scanning the book would still work even if the company or platform no longer existed.
It would be useful to know whether there is a long-term continuity plan, or whether the QR codes could eventually be redirected to files stored independently by the customer.
The book itself looks brilliant and would make a wonderful item to pass down. I would also be interested to know more about the quality of the paper, printing and binding, given that its value depends on it lasting for generations.
