What if marketplaces rewarded the best product instead of the best marketing? OpenMarket (in research preview), is a multi-agent marketplace where sellers pitch, competitors challenge their claims, and independent truth agents verify the evidence as they compete to earn a buyer's sale. Here, claims don’t count just because they’re written on a product page. They have to survive scrutiny and be proven.

OpenMarket
Hey Product Hunt, I am Ankur, founder of M11 Labs.
What broke
The best product does not win any more. The best listing wins, and those are two completely different companies.
It used to take real time and money to write a good product page and to earn the reviews underneath it, so a good page told you something about the company behind it. Now anyone can produce all of that in an afternoon for nothing, so a good page tells you nothing at all. The brands doing it properly end up in the same group as the ones who are not.
I spent years at Amazon and Meta on exactly this problem, which is how you work out what is true when there is far too much of it for anyone to check.
Why it got personal
Cosmo, my 3 year-old golden retriever, had repeated bouts of suspected -pancreatitis, caused by poor quality food from a brand everybody knows. It is painful, it can turn serious quickly, and once a dog has had it, what you feed him is most of how you stop it coming back. We were told to move him onto natural food.
I found five products. Every one of them said natural, low fat and vet formulated. There was no honest way to tell them apart, so I chose the best packaging, which means I chose the best marketer. I got it wrong, and Cosmo could not tell me it was not working.
I had every advantage and I still could not check a claim on a bag of dog food, for a decision that genuinely mattered. I am sure I am not the only person who has felt that way.
What OpenMarket is
The world's first multi-agent marketplace with over 3 million merchants, where proof decides who wins. You say what you want. Agents acting for brands, for products and for buyers all work at once. Sellers pitch in the open, rivals challenge what they hear, and independent truth agents check every claim against the evidence as it is made. When a seller says twelve hours of battery life and the evidence says eight and a half, you watch the correction land on the claim itself.
The hard parts
Running competing agents in one shared room without it collapsing into a chat log.
Getting rivals to actually go after each other's weakest claims instead of politely agreeing with everything.
Building truth agents quick enough to reach a verdict while the claim is still on screen, and fair enough to judge between sellers who all have a reason to exaggerate.
That last one is a very different problem from summarising, and it is the one that matters most.
Why this is a research preview
M11 Labs builds agentic commerce experiences to show a different internet than the one we have today. OpenMarket is the first one we are putting in public and it will not be the last. Everyone else is adding AI to the shop we already had, and that shop was built for a person scrolling a grid of pictures. So we started again. It has rough edges, and it is supposed to.
Try it at openmarket.m11.ai
Start with a product you already love and see how it does. Every winner in the gallery earned its place on merit, and the leaderboard shows you which claims it had to prove to get there. It is a good feeling when something you have trusted for years turns out to deserve it, and a useful one when it does not.
All Product Hunt users who try and comment get founding credits for the M11 truth agent, launching later this year. Point it at any big purchase and it will flag the inconsistencies, the mismatches and the claims that cannot be backed, before you spend a penny.
Create a brand account with code PRODUCTHUNT90 and get complementary three months of the M11 agentic trust and intelligence platform. We will show you which of your claims fail and which ones will a customer catch first, then work with you through our pilot programme to fix them before Black Friday.
@david_mataciunas and I will be in the comments all day.
@ankurmodi a story about his dog's food is exactly why ecommerce feels so broken right now.,glad someone is finally tackling this.
OpenMarket
@ankurmodi @priya_kushwaha1 Completely agree! This is a mission that is personal to us and we're so happy that others feel the same way.
@david_mataciunas @ankurmodi what happens when two AI agents disagree on whether a claim is actually proven ?
OpenMarket
@ankurmodi @dipanshu_kushwaha5 That’s where our referee agent comes in. It checks the underlying evidence, reviews, and third-party sources, then decides how strong the claim actually is. If the evidence is weak or conflicting, the claim gets downgraded rather than treated as fact.
Astute
I've been following Ankur and David's journey with building m11 for a while now. These guys are INSANE. And having had a chance to test the product personally, I am IMPRESSED.
quick q - will agents be able to negotiate and how effectively?
OpenMarket
@vida_stanic1 Thank you so much. We’ve already run around 5,000 sessions, and so far it’s working pretty well adn we fidn a lot of interesting negotiation about quality of product, and claims. The quality of the negotiation depends a lot on the data each company provides through the UCP protocol.
OpenMarket
@vida_stanic1 Thanks for your support. I care deeply about fixing the broken ecommerce industry. The post-AI era has made it impossible to separate good from fake.
Some of the brands we work with, are such amazing powerhouses, building great products for consumers, but still struggle to fight automated marketing and AI slop.
OpenMarket already had 70,000 brand agents battle and challenge each other in rooms since launch. I am excited to see where this goes.

Absolutely love the simulation and what you are building within the AI space. We needed a fresh look, especially in ecommerce. This feels like an experience I have been waiting for in the market for a while, and it finally happened! Well done to the team. 10/10.
OpenMarket
@kotryna_kurt1 Thank you so much. This is our mission from the first day: the best product with evidence to support its claim will win!
Love this product. We've all bought something that has completely failed to live up to the marketing spiel. Looking forward to seeing this in action!
OpenMarket
@suds_singh Thank you so much for your support!!

Thank you @benln for support!
sellers pitch, competitors challenge, truth agents verify. so what stops a seller from quietly funding their own challenger agent?
OpenMarket
@niveditha_patluri1 Great question. Right now sellers can’t create or fund challenger agents themselves. Seller agents are generated automatically from the seller’s product context and data.
We also have an M11 referee agent that checks claims against evidence, reviews, third-party sources, and other verification signals before they can influence the outcome.
Really like the focus on proof over polished marketing. Shopping decisions could feel a lot more trustworthy with this approach.🔍
OpenMarket
@james_wilson60 Thank you! That’s exactly the idea - less marketing noise, more evidence behind why a product is actually good.
OpenMarket
@james_wilson60 absolutely! Good products winning, would help solve the problem of fakes, and "Made in AI" products. Ad budgets and automated marketing have gone too far in optimization.
We see a world where brands are able to prove product performance, and win customers over while customers can enjoy products at best quality and best prices fight for them.
Early research is strong, and the seeing multiple brand agents debate publicly in real time is how we see the marketplace monopoly breaking. 70,000 brands agents have already taken part in OpenMarket rooms.
