Easy to give life to some old frames I had laying around. I was able to send in the frames and get them back quickly with my new prescription and blue light blocking added on.

Pros:

- Quality - Customer Service - Easy process

Cons:

Happy w/ the overall process, so nothing to add yet

You order and expect a flawless delivery of your glass within three weeks as they state. They send half finished orders within maybe two months, when you complain (like I did) that they forgot to polish the edges (even though the assured you a quality check before anything is sent out), they ask you to send them back and then you never hear from them again until you complain. I have not had my glasses returned to me in over a month. I would never use them again and I will not recommend them at all.

Pros:

Good value proposition it stops at that though.

Cons:

Their fulfillment is a joke. Awful customer service. Zero communication. Likely using third party labs and zero control on quality.

Big Problems with Lensabl.com I contacted Lensabl to make sure they could fabricate lenses for a pair of Rudy Project prescription inserts. I included a link to the manufacturer's website where they could find all of the information about the insert and the frames they're used with. A Lensabl rep replied that they could, so I placed an order and shipped them my inserts. A few days later, I checked my order status on the website and discovered my order was on hold because they needed the "Ocular Center Height (OCH)," a number they did not ask for when taking my order. After doing a little research and realizing it was impossible to determine my OCH once they had the inserts, I decided it would be better to have the lenses fabricated by my local optician. I emailed Lensabl to cancel the order and obtain a refund, but they refused. A day after that, I noticed that the website still said "Ocular Center Height (OCH) is required to complete your order." I inquired again about my order status and was informed that "You can disregard the missing information for the OCH. It is not required and we have everything we need." When I finally received the new lenses, it was immediately apparent that something was wrong. My vision was dangerously poor, and the glasses were unwearable. After some experimentation I realized that Lensabl had failed to correct for the geometry of the inserts when installed in the frames. Clearly, Lensabl did not have everything they needed and proceeded to fabricate the lenses anyway. Now, I have a useless pair of glasses and the best they are offering is a 25% discount on a do-over. Not cool.

Terrible customer service. They did not follow the instructions that I included with my order, so the lenses are wrong. We have been emailing back & forth, and several times I asked them to phone me to discuss it. They do not phone.... just keep arguing their case by email. It's very frustrating. STAY AWAY!

This company is horrible! They stole my money by putting the wrong lens in my glasses frames. Customer service don't care about the customer. Save your time and money and go somewhere local to take care of you glasses needs. I really hope they go out of business because they are the biggest scammers I ever seen. I plan to report then to BBB. .

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

They sent the wrongs lens on my frames and refuse to fix them

Overall not a good experience and I will not be using them in the future or recommend them to anyone.

Issues I faced:

* The wait time: It took FOREVER to get my glasses back (note: I was on the East coast, so if you are in the West coast, your shipping experience probably won't be as long). But for me, it took almost 1 month to get my glasses back. It took over a week for the box to ship for me to put my glasses in. It then took a week to ship it back. The glasses just sat around the Lensabl office for another week, and finally it took another week to ship back.

* They DID NOT follow instructions: I requested the original lenses in the glasses be sent back with the new ones that they were being replaced with. Only one of my original lenses came back. I sent in an inquiry to let them know that one of my lenses had been lost and have yet to get a response. I sent in a second inquiry and still waiting for a reply.

* Communication was not good: I kept having to send in inquiries proactively to inquire into the status of my glasses. I wanted them to be more proactive in letting me know where the glasses were or note any delays.

* Edges are not polished: I don't recall even seeing an option for polishing the edges, but my glasses came back with unpolished edges, and I hate the unrefined look of them (I'm going to have to take the glasses into a local optical shop to get the edges polished). I ordered one of the most expensive lenses on Lensabl, so I expected polished edges, but sadly this was not the case.

Pros:

Easy ordering process

Cons:

Long shipping/processing time; lost replaced lens; not proactive in communication

@tjanonymous My own experience was horrible. Long wait time and the rep (Jayme) was a total idiot.

First time user, and thoroughly pleased with the results. Forced to explore options because a local optical shop wouldn't put lenses in frames I'd purchased from a third party, I found Lensable and a couple others via Google. I had reservations about ordering prescription eyeglasses online, and took pause due to some other customer reviews of Lensable, but Lensable proactively reached out to me via an email as I was stepping through their online ordering process and rapidly addressed my concerns. I decided to give it a go and I was not disappointed. I didn't short-cut their process in any way, made sure I provided all the prescription information, pupillary distance, etc. they require, and it all worked exactly as advertised. The result was perfect eyeglasses that surpassed the quality of a similar pair I received from my local optical shop. Very impressed with the quality and service. Top notch. Glad I used them. I'll order again from Lensable with no reservations in the future.

Pros:

Quality product and workmanship; Great customer service.

Cons:

I didn't encounter any cons.

My first Lensabl order came back in about 2 weeks, not bad, but with a blemish in the middle of the right lens (which should have been caught by inspection). They were pretty good about replacing the lens so I gave them a second try. After three weeks of hearing nothing I contacted customer support and they said "your glasses are shipping out tomorrow." This is same reply came each time I contacted them - for weeks. The glasses finally shipped out after six weeks. They are fine, not perfect due to the tricky nature of the Maui Jims I sent in, so I will live with them. But the poor customer service will have me going somewhere else in the future. There was no reason to consistently lie - just be straight, I would have been fine if they'd just told me they were backed up and the order was delayed.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! They completely made the glasses wrong and did not include the tech add I ordered. If you did order, Take them to your eye doctor and have them verified! Complete waste of money!
This company has horrible customer service, my frames are lost in shipping and it took me demanding them to follow up with the carrier to put a trace on the order (they provided me with the return label and box) and every interaction with the customer service person kept placing the blame on me. Don't use them look for another company to replace your lenses. I wish I read these reviews instead of just trusting the website as they only have positive reveiws. I wear progressives so the lenses I bought were not cheap and I expect better customer service when spending that kind of dough.
After three weeks of back and forth, my frames are still lost, but I finally received a refund for the service I never received, after my 5th request for for a refund. But now they are not reimbursing the cost of my lost Frames. They say they are waiting on the USPS investigation to close, but will refund me early if I remove these reviews. Well I decided I can wait for the investigation to close in a week or so, and I'll let y'all know the tactics they use to remove negative reviews.
Nothing can make this better. Order from someone else!!! I've emailed customer support 3 times already. It says i will hear back within 24 hours.... it's been 3 days!

I decided to try this online lens company instead of using my normal local store. There was a delay in sending my glasses to me, and ended up taking over 6 weeks. When I got them, I couldn't see anything. I sent them an email, and they verified they had the correct prescription. So I took the glasses and the exact prescription to my local store, and they told me the lenses were not correct. The degree of rotation was off by about 180 degrees. Instead of fighting with them to try to fix it, I just bought new lenses from the local store like I should have done in the first place. Guess what? I can SEE. By the time I would POSSIBLY get corrected lenses, I would need a new prescription anyway! Lame.

Just a girl with a review
Very Poor Customer Service, would be a compliment: After 9 weeks and 2 days and multiple emails from me to support, I finally received my sunglasses today. I inspected them and the end product was acceptable. What I find unacceptable is how long it took and how I only received updates after I contacted them….more than once. I am in a customer service industry myself and find LENSABLE truly lacking. The customer should not be the one having to pull information out of them, they should be the one contacting the customer with updates. I had to get the vendor - 3rd party that I bought the frames through involved, and he finally contacted LENSABLE on my behalf. I had planned on buying a 2nd pair of glasses from the same vendor but refuse to go through LENSABLE ever again. I did send a detailed letter expressing my frustration with their lack of transparency and customer service and received an email back that they would give me a credit of $12.70. Honestly I was shocked that LENSABLE thought this would be an acceptable response. I will not do business with this company again and if anyone asked my opinion I would tell them NOT to waste their time and money.
I would do zero stars if possible. Sent in four frames, got one back over a month later. Status on site said all were sent back. I submitted tickets and finally someone got back to me saying that three of the frames broke in the process. These frames were hard to get from dleyeware.com (five stars!) and we ended up going back and forth and they said if I repurchased they would send the money to my paypal. I did get the money for the frames eventually . . . Now I've been trying to get a refund on the lenses as I don't want to go through this again and they keep closing out my tickets without responding. Horrible!!! @andybilinsky -- hire real customer service, a good lab and be less of a crook!
