Hey guys, I'm Kareem Aly, co-founder & CEO of Kabata. With my father a 2x National Champion in Field Hockey and Rowing, I was introduced to all things fitness, health and wellness early on, developing a love for strength training and becoming a NASM Certified Personal Trainer outside of my day job as a venture capitalist. Strength training is fulfilling and will add years to your life, but there's just one issue - it's hard. Really hard. I wanted to make strength training more enjoyable for people, so I embarked on a journey to build Kabata. Kabata counts your reps, analyzes your workouts, and uses the data to coach you, telling you exactly when to go up in weight and even automatically changing weight for you on every move. We've also added gaming-inspired haptics to the handles to create a more immersive, engaging environment as you work out. Our small team of 10 comes from world-class organizations including: Apple, Nike, Meta, Whoop, Peloton, Postmates, iRobot, Amazon, Stanford, UCLA and more. Kabata's Head of AI was also formerly the Head of AI at Volkswagen. This is the next generation in fitness, and we're working day and night to push the industry forward.
