I love that they used Google Docs as the initial Launch Ticker MVP. That said, they seem to have moved relatively slow since then. Here's a post of mine on Quibb from over a year ago:

@Jason and team just released their and their iOS and Blackberry (I know... Blackberrry!?) apps a few minutes ago. Calacanis has been teasing this for months and at first glance, it's exactly what I expected -- a mobile version of their web product. TBH, I'm already overwhelmed with news but curious to dig into this to see how it compares to the billion of other news curators.

So far, it's pretty good. A few bugs and some weird UX, but what they nailed was the format: short, curated news snippets that are easy to browse. I would also say @Jason did a great job building anticipation for the launch.

After a quick look, it seems promising. More personalized, but not as polished as the Yahoo News Digest. Also it's hard to tell when you've reached "the end". New stories seem to appear at the top/bottom, so I can't tell when I'm finished.

I agree with @mijustin. The build-up alone could be a how-to book. I've been having a pretty consistent "jumpy" bug making the iOS app quite frustrating to even test, but overall it's clean and quite intuitive. The format for me is a bit overwhelming as I'm used to scanning only headlines and clicking in for more. For that, my initial reaction is that Circa will continue to be my go-to.
