Hazel is the friendly alternative to hardcore screen time control. Beautiful analytics, three types of intelligent blocks (schedule, app opens, time limits), and a cute hedgehog mascot supporting your journey. Make mindful choices without the guilt.

What do you think? …

Eight months ago, my co-founder and I realised that our wives, and honestly ourselves, were drowning in Instagram. Every screen time app felt like digital punishment. Some were super-cool with tons of customisation, but it was clear they were built for pros, not everyday people.

We kept asking: What if screen time control could feel like friendship instead of judgment?

And so we (finally) made it!

Here is Hazel

Every design choice, every line of copy, and every animation follows one principle: No guilt. No judgment. Just mindfulness.

Hazel starts with awareness. It shows patterns and trends, then lets you choose if and when to block. Sometimes, more scrolling is fine. Sometimes you want a nudge. Hazel supports both.

It is built for people who want better digital habits without feeling like they are failing.

We are just getting started, so we would love your feedback on:

  • Features you want to see

  • UI and UX thoughts

  • Ideas on how to make the character even more engaging

  • Bug reports (we are ready)

Thank you for being here on day one. This means everything to us.

With gratitude,

Egor & Daniil

Such a cute design! It feels like a little companion already.

Do rewards unlock after completing a set amount of time?

Egor Goryachev

@suvinlee_travΒ Hey hey! Thank you :)
Yes, exactly! The app basically has a simple streak system - if you keep your blocks > you earn some small rewards to keep you going πŸ†

@egor_goryachevΒ Love that approach.

Small rewards can go a long way in building consistency. πŸ†
