Memo

Hi Product Hunt! We've been building startups for close to a decade now and the part we always hated was the dreaded fundraise. Countless of our friends have burned out multiple times, with some even giving up on what they're building (it's demoralizing). Over the past 8 months we worked with 1000+ early stage founders deeply learning their pain points, helped write over 500 investment memos, helped raised hundreds of Seed rounds, and even used our own product to raise from other founders around the world (the ultimate dog food). Our key takeaways were: - Founders use on average 5 - 7 different tools to raise a round (operational mess) - Founders have a very hard time fully articulating their company's story using a pitch deck - Cycle through dozens of pitch templates before picking the "right one" - Are constantly worried about deck aesthetics versus telling their story - Always distracted by nervously visiting DocSend to gauge investor interest - Constantly caught in "15 minute Zoom hell" with investors (are they really interested?) So we set out with the goal to: - Streamline operations (all-in-one) - Build a more asynchronous process (saves time) - Create something simple & intuitive (looks good) And today we're launching Memo with the hope that every founder gets a little more sleep and back to building faster! Memo is awesome, very slick and easy to use - going to be using for Posh’s Series B, had to manage way too many tabs in my last fundraises between Notion, Hubspot, DocSend, etc.

Fundraising is critical for any startup success and yet it has been a process that been far too manual for any startup founder / team. I have been looking for a product to enhance the fundraising process for the longest time and finally it exists in the name of BuildMemo. Was part of the trial demo and loved all the functionalities and simplicity of using it! Definitely going to be using it further for my next Series B fundraising.

Can’t talk more highly about Memo - I’m currently running Techstars SportsTech and all my companies are currently using - it’s an absolute must for an early stage startup.

Love Memo! Having worked with early stage founders usually doing their first formal raise, fundraising is often confusing. You have to hack together Docsend for analytics, Airtable for CRM, Notion for one-pagers, Calendly to manage investor meetings etc. and you have different links for each of them. Believe this is really useful for fundraising founders by streamlining the entire process :)
