I can't get enough of FlowState, a FREE daily newsletter that sends you two hours of perfect working music every morning. It gives you tons of background info on the artist, music genre, and more. As LifeHacker recently noted, "they’re pretty good at digging up non-obvious music, some of which isn’t even available on major streaming services." A paid membership gets you access to in-house custom mixes on Mondays and a searchable database of songs too. But you can still subscribe for FREE, and get the daily editions. It's upped my productivity in a major way.

@lyrk It's FREE !!! You don't have to pay to receive the newsletter. A paid plan just gets you access to an archive and custom mixes.

How do you justify this price when I can pay a few dollars more for a complete music library like Spotify with curated playlists?

@spaztik one reason I like it is it's not just a playlist. @mwmoretti writes about the music mixes and gives tips for productivity. The community aspect of the newsletter is also helpful. I prefer getting thoughtful, curated recommendations everyday in my inbox rather than an algorithmically determined never-ending playlist. But that's just my 2 cents!

How do you accommodate for taste? Preference? Eg I might work best listening to doom metal and the guy next to me ambient trance.

@adelia could someone explain to me how this comment can be 16days old while this product is hunted today?
