👋 Hi Product Hunt!

We're so excited to share Floot (YC S25) with you! We've been working tirelessly to build the easiest and most powerful platform for non-coders & entrepreneurs to build serious web apps with AI. We're taking a new approach by designing everything from the ground up for AI.

Many non-coders today struggle with AI app builders and end up abandoning their projects. They often get stuck with errors they don't understand or need to wrestle with developer services not designed for them. This is because most vibe coding platforms just slap AI on top of existing developer tools.

Floot does things differently:

  1. We created a specialized framework that dictates how AI should write code and how the code runs on our infrastructure. This allows us to enforce best practices, detect errors earlier, and give the best feedback to the AI. As a result, Floot can write better code and fix issues more effectively.

  2. We built the entire tech stack into Floot (backend, database, hosting, etc) so building and managing an app feels seamless, especially for non-coders. And because we control every layer of the stack, we can optimize each layer for AI-first coding.

Because of this, our users say they can finally build what they want instead of getting stuck in frustrating error loops.

We also built a highly scalable hosting system directly on AWS so Floot apps can handle real traffic and business demands. This means non-coders can build, deploy, and scale their apps on a single platform seamlessly.

Plus, Floot is really fun to use! We have a neat feature where you can draw on your app to tell Floot what you want changed.

@yujian let’s go, flooters! 🚀

Michael Zhu

congrats on launch! huge fan of how it guides you through resource creation

Yuj Yao

@michaelzhu Thank you! Everything is designed with ease of use in mind!

Sarah

@michaelzhu Great to hear our AI has been helpful. Let us know what you build next.

Edward Look

@michaelzhu Thanks Michael! We're trying to streamline things as much as possible - and the guidance is just the first step :)

Albert Putra Purnama

@yujian Congrats on the launch!

Edward Look

@yujian  @albertpurnama Thanks for the support, Albert 🙏

Sarah

@albertpurnama  we are grateful for your support!

Kay Kwak

@yujian Congrats! 🎉 The all-in-one approach from build to deploy is exactly what non-coders have been waiting for. No more technical roadblocks!

Habibur Rahman

@yujian  it's very helpful bro

Nikita Savchenko

You say you wrote specialized framework… Does it mean all apps written by Floot will use the same tech stack (for instance, React/NextJs etc)?

Yuj Yao

@nikitaeverywhere Yes we only use Node.js, React, TypeScript. We don't use Next JS. We have our own framework that works well with our infrastructure and allows us to optimize AI performance.

Nikita Savchenko

@yujian thanks. As React is now I guess 95% represented as NextJS or Remix, I'm wondering what's your own (React) framework – and is it open source by any chance? There's lot of complexity involved like SSR, routing, internationalisation etc to handle – I'm just thinking from the perspective of someone who would need to support that custom code base or at least review the code.

Yuj Yao

@nikitaeverywhere You are right it's a lot of work. We found Next.js to be hard to optimize for AI, plus we can't easily control it in order to shape it in a way that works efficiently. We are still building out some of these capabilities, but it's not all from scratch. For example, routing is handled by React router with some custom file structure. It's currently not open source since we are targeting mostly non-technical users, but we may do that in the future!

Edward Look

@nikitaeverywhere Yeah instead of reusing an existing framework (like Next JS), we wanted to build our own so we can optimize it for AI writing code. We found that the extra control was worth it, since these existing frameworks were designed for human developers and not for AI. Would love to hear your feedback on how this translates to your user experience with Floot!

Nikita Savchenko

@edlook interesting perspective!

Sarah

@nikitaeverywhere We love our technical and non technical users! Thank you for your support.

Yangshun Tay

Floot's approach is very solid, I really like it. It's the way I'd build an AI builder if I were to attempt one. Congrats to the team on the launch!

Yuj Yao

@yangshun Thank you Yangshun!

Edward Look

@yangshun Thanks Yangshun, let us know how it goes for you!

Sarah

@yangshun Thank you for your support! And I'm glad we are not up against you phew

Cruise Chen

Been living in the same shoes—no CS degree, just a pile of SaaS ideas that never shipped. Floot finally gave me buttons instead of boiler-plate. Dragged together a subscription tracking tool for indie makers, hit publish, and the whole stack (auth, Postgres, Stripe-ish checkout) was already wired. Only snag: the in-app docs skip over custom webhooks—had to hunt Discord for a snippet. Still, I went from napkin sketch to paying users in four days. If you’re allergic to code but allergic to “just another no-code toy,” this is the sweet spot.

Yuj Yao

@cruise_chen Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the experience. Let me know if there's anything we can do to improve our product!

Edward Look

@cruise_chen Thanks Cruise, excited to see what else you will build :)

Dhaval Patel

@cruise_chen I’m curious, how did you manage to integrate with Stripe?

@Floot - I was wondering if you plan to manage all subscriptions within your platform. That way, we users don’t have to create an account with Stripe and API keys.

Yuj Yao

@dhaval_patel36 Yes we plan to add more native integrations! It should be really easy for anyone non-technical to set up and track most of the integrations that they need!

Edward Look

@cruise_chen  @dhaval_patel36 First-party integration with Stripe is definitely something we're considering. That way you can accept payments without going through Stripe, like you said!

Sarah

@cruise_chen Four days from napkin sketch to paying users with Floot – now that's what we call rapid execution! Stories like yours are exactly why we built this platform. Congratulations! 🚀

Joey Judd

No way—finally an AI app builder that doesn’t leave you stranded mid-project! I’ve wasted too many nights stuck on roadblocks—how does Floot handle complex workflows?

Yuj Yao

@joey_zhu_seopage_ai We spent a lot of time ironing out scenarios where the AI can get stuck or make mistakes, which we're able to address through our custom framework and integrated infrastructure. As a final safety net, we can also step in when users get stuck, and we use those opportunities to continuously improve our system!

Edward Look

@joey_zhu_seopage_ai Thanks Joey, a lot of our users were also frustrated with other tools leaving them stranded mid-project. Then they found Floot and they told us they could build so much more without getting stuck :)

In terms of complex workflows - do you have an example of one? That can help me answer you better. Floot has a full backend (and not a serverless runtime like what other platforms use), so we can handle most applications.

Sarah

@joey_zhu_seopage_ai Consider giving us a try. We would love to hear your experience.

Patrick Kinsella

Let me start by saying that I've used bolt.new, replit, firebase studio, cline code, and cursor.

I ran across Floot about a month ago (when it still had another name) and it seemed like it had a generous allowance of initial credits so I gave it a shot for a rather sophisticaed finance app I'm building.

I'm here to tell you that since then I've been nothing short of addicted. It actually works. It builds, it tests, and it fixes its errors before it comes back with a summary of what it built and how it works. Before I knew anything about how Floot was built, I was telling people that these guys had some kind of secret sauce, because it's just different, and...fun.

It's not perfect, but they are early, and so far they've nailed it, so I'm excited about what will emerge in the coming months with additional features and advances in the LLMs.

Edward Look

@pjkinsellaengr Thanks Patrick! I still remember the day you joined our Discord haha - glad to have you with this! Just curious - now that you've been using us for a while, is there anything we could improve on?

Patrick Kinsella

@edlook I guess I'm just that memorable 😎. Yes, there are plenty of improvements and features to be added, but you have nearly solved the most important and difficult problem in this space, so the rest is gravy. Keep up the momentum!

Edward Look

@pjkinsellaengr Your Discord pic is hard to miss amongst the sea of nonfaces 😉

Yuj Yao

@pjkinsellaengr Thank you Patrick! Excited to have you on our journey!

Sarah

@pjkinsellaengr
I'm here to tell you that since then I've been nothing short of addicted.

The only cure for Floot addiction is... building more apps! Our 'rehab' program involves unlimited projects and 24/7 support. Welcome to the healthiest addiction ever!

Patrick Kinsella

@sarah_flooting until I launch an app that's actually profitable, it's not especially healthy for my bank account! 😅

m@ pacyga

I love Floot. I was able to create multiple products in a short amount of time, from an eCom product site to mockups demonstrating complex real-world scenarios. It's hard for me now to justify buying certain SaaS products because why not build them yourself for your specific use case? Floot allows me to think differently about the products I build and how I can solve problems. Thank you, Floot team!

Yuj Yao

@plague88 Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! Indeed the future of SaaS is build it yourself, with Floot!

Edward Look

@plague88 Exactly! The future is everyone and every business making their own custom SaaS for their specific needs.

Sarah

@plague88 Great tools don’t create great outcomes; great users do. 🫡
