I'm curious to how Flipkick will compete with places such as OpenSea and Foundation that have a much cleaner interface. I do like the note that they are focused on authentication physical art but I'm not sure if that's 100% a unique prop that other platforms can't emulate or let the artists do themselves. Also LOL at selling Fyre festival art.

I would like to understand why people are spending real money on links to jpeg images. That probably doesn't encapsulate the tech behind it, and I really don't care to understand that fully, I simply wish to know what motivates someone to part with money for the illusion of ownership.

@gregory_wehmeyer Probably just pure speculation and the hopes that they can resell it later to make a profit. I don't really expect that anyone buying NFTs care about the underlying "asset", which you point out isn't even the actual asset itself, but just effectively a link to it. It's a bubble, and it will pop.
