Hello ProductHunt, long time no see 👋! Last year when hunting Secret So Far I had integrated a quick commenting system using Disqus. This turned out to be a bad idea, as Disqus require users to create an account, losing then the whole privacy thingy. This is why I decided to make CommentApp during the The 24 Hour Startup Challenge. I streamed the whole process live on Twitch and had lots of fun while doing it. 🤔Problem The problem here is that creating a full-fledged commenting system can be time-consuming and there are very few plug-and-play solutions out there. If then you're also looking for something that doesn't require your users to go through any further step, the options are very limited (if not non-existent). 💡Solution When I had to replace Disqus from SecretSoFar, I created a simple custom commenting system. When working on Belooga I created a simple commenting system. When working with my clients I created a rather advanced commenting system. This means that I have reinvented the wheel a few times and decided that I could do something to fix this. I thought that I could make a simple plug-and-play web application that would allow anyone to add a commenting system with ease and without being worried about privacy and making their users go through unnecessary steps. I built CommentApp during the 24hrstartup and had little time to bloat it with features.
